More J Street Scandal

Labels:

Contrary to J Street denials, the Washington Times uncovers evidence that J Street facilitated meetings between Judge Richard Goldstone– author of the “Goldstone Report” on the war in Gaza which is considered unfairly hostile to Israel across all but the very extreme left of both the Israeli and American Jewish political spectrums–and members of Congress. Jeffrey Goldberg follows up, wondering if J Street can weather these scandals–even reporters sympathetic to J Street are angry at being lied to.
I don’t know about J Street’s overall future, but it’s hard for me to see how its founder, president, and chief spin doctor, Jeremy Ben-Ami, stays in his position.
the tragedy is all the college and youth outreach (aka brain washing) that J street did on campuses to disenfranchised Jews. These students were led to believe that J Street represented mainstream Jewish opinion... when in fact a singular source was dictating values. I'm not convinced that college kids are capable of critical thinking these days.

Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters Promotes Palestinian Jihad in the WALL

Labels: » » » »
The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) on Monday criticized rock music icon Roger Waters for using imagery long associated with stereotypes about Jews and money as part of a segment of his 2010-2011 “The Wall Live” Tour that takes aim at Israel’s West Bank security fence. During his performances of “Goodbye Blue Sky,” an animated scene projects images of planes dropping bombs in the shape of Jewish Stars of David followed by dollar signs, according to an interview in the September 30 issue of Rolling Stone. Waters, 67, is a known left-wing activist who has spoken against Israel’s policy in the territories. “It’s a horrific edifice, this thing,” he told reporters in 2006 as he stood beside a section of the separation fence in Bethlehem.BR

Joe Lieberman: Obama must make clear that he will stop Iran

Labels: » »
Senator Joe Lieberman (I-Ct) told the Council on Foreign Relations on Wednesday that President Obama must make it clear that the United States will stop Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
“Some have suggested that we should simply learn to live with a nuclear Iran. In my judgment, that would be a grave mistake. And as one Arab leader I recently spoke with pointed out, how could anyone count on the United States to go to war to defend them against a nuclear-armed Iran, if we were unwilling to go to war to prevent a nuclear-armed Iran? Simply put, having tried and failed to stop Iran’s nuclear breakout, our country will be a poor position to contain its consequences.”
“It would also be a failure of U.S. leadership if this situation reaches the point where the Israelis decide to attempt a unilateral strike. If military action must come, the United States is in the strongest position to confront Iran and manage the regional consequences. This is not a responsibility we should outsource. We can and should coordinate with our many allies who share our interest in stopping a nuclear Iran, but we cannot delegate our global responsibilities to them.”
“The single most important test of American power in the Middle East today is whether we succeed or fail in stopping Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons capability, and how we fare on that test will surely affect our standing in the rest of the world.”
“It is time to retire our ambiguous mantra about all options remaining on the table. Our message to our friends and enemies in the region needs to become clearer: namely, that we will prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapons capability -- by peaceful means if we possibly can, but with military force if we absolutely must.”

Arafat encouraged Hamas terrorist attacks

Labels: » » » » » » » » » »

Arafat:
since his death, Arafat's acolytes have been quite open about his central role in the terrorism for which "Palestinian" has become a by-word:
Back in Abu Amar's day [Yasser Arafat's nom de guerre], we had a plan, there was a strategy, and we would carry his orders...Everything that was done in the intifada was done according to Arafat's instructions...

Mahmoud Zahar:
In a syndicated Associated Press report issued yesterday, one of the highest-up thugs in the Hamas terror hierarchy, Mahmoud Zahar, is quoted telling Gaza City students that when Yasser Arafat realized negotiations with Israel were failing ten years ago, he "recommended to Hamas to carry out a number of military operations in the heart of the Hebrew state."

The AP report says it has confirmation of the closed-door session, and says Zahar declined to deny them. It says other Hamas leaders refused to discuss the statements on the record, and several privately expressed displeasure but did not deny them. Zahar's statement were made Tuesday - the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 28, 2000, eruption of violence that became known as the second intifada.
A far more reliable source, the Jerusalem Post's peerless Khaled Abu Toameh, writes that this is the first time a senior Hamas source has conceded that some of the suicide-bombing murders carried out by its agents during the second intifada, which erupted 10 years ago, were ordered by Arafat. Until now, it was widely believed that Arafat had only ordered his Fatah militiamen to carry out terror attacks on Israel.

That's from a candid statement by the head of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade terrorists in an interview carried in Ha'aretz on April 4, 2008.

Android apps caught sending GPS, phone numbers to ad firms

Labels: » » »
A new joint study from Duke University, Intel Labs and Penn State University has found that some Android apps are sending excessive and potentially dangerous levels of location and personal info to ad producers. Of 30 free, successful apps, about half were sending advertisers the user's GPS positioning and even phone numbers beyond what they were known to do. The updates would occur even when no ads were running, Ars Technica noted, and could occur as often as every 30 seconds.
Many of the details themselves were collected through a custom-built tool, TaintDroid, that looked for instances when an app might be sending private information to an outside server and which could be compared against the actual usage patterns.
Concerns have been mounting that Google's approach to privacy policies and notifications is allowing advertisers or app developers themselves to violate personal information without the knowledge or consent of the users. Android apps regularly have a notice before an app download of what access is required, but the notices aren't specific about how the information will be used or the ultimate destination. A controversy briefly erupted this summer when a wallpaper app was caught sending information to China, although it was discovered afterwards that less was being sent than Google's own app warnings implied.
The OS has also had an issue with apps that can potentially be malicious without sending any alerts, such as a proof-of-concept exploit sent out this summer.
Google hasn't responded to the initial details of the study, which will be published in full at the Usenix Symposium on OS Design and Implementation next week in Vancouver, but it has so far recommended only that developers provide a simple way of accessing the privacy policy for a given app once it's already installed.
The approach contrasts sharply with that of Apple. While iOS developers have a smaller set of possible app features, it has explicitly prevented apps from using GPS primarily for advertising and requires that apps ask the user for permission to use location info. Excess information is still a possibility for iPhone apps and other devices but is more likely to be caught earlier.

What about Chinese people who love Jewish food? Bagels in Beijing!

Bagel-like things in Xinjiang, Western Province of China
Bei Gu
A funny post on Triscribe tsktsking about the obsession about Jews who love Chinese food, and lack of attention to Chinese people who love Jewish food. The post points out, correctly, that about 1/3 of the waitstaff at born-again 2nd Avenue Deli are Chinese. (I can confirm that at least they are Asian immigrants, though I didn’t ask where they are from. But they are probably Chinese, given immigrant patterns in the city. Chinese are the second-largest foreign born population in New York after Dominicans)
On the battle of Chinese food versus Jewish food. I will say there are 40,000+ Chinese restaurants in the country and the Jewish delis is precipitous decline, once with 500+ and now just a small handful in New York City (though in New York, Korean-owned delis are a mainstay)
In terms of the ultimate Chinese lover of Jewish food, I would have to give it to Lejen Chen, a Chinese-American New Yorker who brought bagels to Beijing!

This woman has loved bagels since her childhood in Brooklyn and throughout high school at Stuyvesant. A 1999 New York Times article talks about her factory and the struggles to make bagels in Beijing.
Of course, commercial bagel-making equipment is unheard of in China, and importing it would have been prohibitively expensive, so Mr. Shan’s engineering skills were put to work converting an old noodle maker into a bagel presser and improvising a bagel boiler and production ovens.
Ingredients were also a problem, with local flour in particular proving unsuitable for bagels. The bakery and cafe now use Canadian wheat flour, Korean sugar, French yeast, California raisins, Australian cream cheese and Norwegian salmon. The water is Chinese, though in the early going the supply was erratic.
Even deciding what to call the product in Chinese was tricky. Some Mandarin-English dictionaries translate bagel as mian bao quan (bread in a circle), others as bai ji quan chi (hundred lucky circles). Neither felt right. Instead, Ms. Chen decided to adopt a friend’s suggestion: bei gu. ”It sounds more like ‘bagel,’ ” Ms. Chen said; its literal meaning, precious grain, was appealing if a bit cryptic.
Also, it’s not obvious, from looking at a bagel, how to eat it, so Chinese customers have pioneered different approaches of eating them.
Some cut up the bagels and stir-fry or grill the pieces. Others coat the bagels with sesame paste and butter. Bagels may be served at dinner in place of rice or a northern Chinese staple, steamed buns. And customers pack them as travel snacks for journeys to places like Tibet or Mongolia.
The funny thing is, that bagel-like things are naturally made in China — just in an unexpected place: Xinjiang, the western province which is like 1/6th the area of China, but really empty, except for the Uyghurs.
I went traveling there and was astounded by all the mounds of bagels. (They taste slightly different, less chewy, more dense).
The culture/terrain/people of Xinjiang seem really more Central Asian than Chinese (The scenes of Kite Runner were filmed in Xinjiang instead of neighboring Afghanhistan where it was really set). It’s also called by the slightly controversial name, East Turkistan.
The photo on the top is not from H&H, it’s actually from Xinjiang, from cupofcha.
The Uygher-bagel-like thing is called girde nan, which is one of several types of nan.
Unclear: is the Uyghur-bagel something that shares common ancestral roots with the Eastern European bagel Or is this one of ttose separated at birth things?

...Ronald McDonald Under Fire....

McDonald's Corp. has warned federal regulators that it could drop its health insurance plan for nearly 30,000 hourly restaurant workers unless regulators waive a new requirement of the U.S. health overhaul. The move is one of the clearest indications that new rules may disrupt workers' health plans as the law ripples through the real world.
Trade groups representing restaurants and retailers say low-wage employers might halt their coverage if the government doesn't loosen a requirement for "mini-med" plans, which offer limited benefits to some 1.4 million Americans.
The requirement concerns the percentage of premiums that must be spent on benefits.

Germany’s Merkel “regrets Dutch right-wing” government formation
Berlin – German Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Wednesday that she “regrets” the formation of a Dutch right-wing government including Geert Wilders’ anti-Islam Party for Freedom (PVV).
Earth Times
Addressing German legislators, Merkel said there was no question however that her country would continue to cooperate with its neighbour.

“We simply have to accept within Europe that sovereign countries’ government formation cannot completely terminate our cooperation in Europe,” the chancellor said.
Merkel referred to the EU’s boycott of Austria in the year 2000, when Joerg Haider’s xenophobic Freedom Party entered government.
“The way Austria was treated did not really serve the European idea,” Merkel said.
The chancellor’s comments came after a senior opposition member, Axel Schaefer of the Social Democrats (SPD), called on Merkel to distance herself from political movements with right-wing tendencies within the EU.
but she just warned Europe of Islam...

A divided Jerusalem?

Labels: » »
Danon, in addition to being Deputy Speaker of the Knesset, is also Chairman of the World Likud Party, and an ardent promoter of the position that – in any final status agreement with the Palestinians – Jerusalem should never be divided.  Such an argument is especially relevant in the context of the current negotiations in Washington between Mahmoud Abbas and Benjamin Netanyahu.
He made the argument that – though he was opposed to the unilateral withdraw from Gaza – one good thing about Sharon’s disengagement was that it proved that the  ”land for peace” formula (contrary to popular opinion) is nothing n more than a chimera. Indeed (in light of the consequences of Israel’s withdraw from Gaza, as well as Southern Lebanon), even the most neutral observer couldn’t possibly argue that such withdrawals invariably lead to peace, or lessen the appeal of belligerent terrorist groups.
Danon’s position regarding Jerusalem is based on the following arguments.
Jewish Rights: Jerusalem was the capital of a Jewish state for the better part of a millennium – but never once of an Arab or Muslim country.
Population: Jews have been a majority in Jerusalem for over 170 years.  There are over 200,000 Jews living in eastern Jerusalem, nearly half of all Jerusalem Jews.
Religious Freedom: Under Jordanian control, synagogues and other holy sites in Jerusalem were destroyed, an d Jews were denied access  - as the PA attempts to do today.  But when Israel took charge, it enacted and faithfully observed a Knesset law stipulating that the “places holy to the peoples of all religions shall be protected from any desecration and from any restriction of free access to them”.
Security Dangers:  Decades of Arab Muslim and Palestinian violence in Jerusalem have included lethal terror attacks on buses and in restaurants, Temple Mount riots and stoning of Temple Mount worshipers, shootings, stabbings, and bombs.  Giving Jerusalem neighborhoods over to PA control will wet terrorist appetites and will geometrically increase citizens exposure to such dangers.
Demographics:  The division of Jerusalem is liable to lead to the exodus of tens of thousands of Jews from the city, as well as the move of a similar number of Arabs to the Israeli side of Jerusalem – a two-way trend that has already partially begun in apprehension of future division.
Though I’m not, in principle, opposed to the idea of a two-state solution which would include the division of Jerusalem, the security risks weigh most heavily on me.  As a Jerusalem resident, I would certainly fear the possibility that a sovereign Palestinian state – which included a capital in East Jerusalem – could eventually lead to a Hamas coup (like what happened in Gaza in 2007).  Indeed, Hamas control (or even presence) in Jerusalem would create the  very real danger of rockets being fired into – among other places – Ben Gurion International Airport, West Jerusalem neighborhoods, and the Israeli Knesset.

Danon’s position may seem unreasonable to many viewing the situation as an abstraction from afar. However, those of us who would be forced to live with the the very real world consequences of such a solution are, I believe, quite justified in our fears that the division of Jerusalem could create a dynamic leading to rocket fire (and other lethal terrorist attacks) targeting our families and communities.  I really don’t think that’s an unreasonable concern.

Officials predict that Hamas will try to test the missile defense system that will be installed along the Gaza Strip periphery,
The IDF is preparing for the possibility that the scheduled deployment of the
Iron Dome missile defense system along the Gaza Strip periphery in the coming
months will increase the rate of rocket attacks against Israel, senior defense
officials said on Sunday.
The Iron Dome was delivered earlier this month
to an Air Force base near Gedera, where the IAF Air Defense Division will
establish the headquarters for the new defense system, which is designed to
defend against rockets at a range of 4- 70 kilometers.

Saudi Arabia Wants to Go Nuclear.

Not Enough Oil?

Saudi Arabia could be interested in developing a uranium enrichment capability as part of the kingdom's efforts to establish a civilian atomic power sector, an adviser hired by the Middle Eastern state to devise its nuclear strategy said Wednesday (see GSN, Aug. 24, 2009).
The uranium enrichment process can produce nuclear-weapon material as well as fuel for civilian applications.
Over time, Riyadh is expected to want to be involved in as many parts of the atomic energy production process as it can be, said David Cox, a consultant whose firm was hired by Saudi Arabia to prepare the nuclear strategy.
"Enrichment could happen there and the same with mining uranium," Cox said, adding that "outsourcing will happen initially."
Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy chose Cox's firm, Poyry, to analyze the potential for Saudi participation in all aspects of the atomic-energy production process, Reuters quoted the consultant as saying.
Cox said his firm's study "is to evaluate what part of [nuclear energy production] is possible at a reasonable economic cost."
The feasibility study would be finished in several months and would contain comprehensive guidance on the economic, institutional and technical aspects needed for beginning nuclear plant construction, he said (Reuters/Daily Star, June 18).
I'm not going to act shocked. I'm just not. Jordan is doing it with Obama... and the Saudis are terrified of Iran. This is what happens when you encourage this.

FBI Escorts Known Hamas Operative Through Top-Secret National Counterterrorism Center as so called Outreach to Muslim Community

Sheikh Kifah Mustapha (third from left) touring the National Counterterrorism Center (Photo: FBI)

A known Hamas operative and unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorism financing trial in U.S. history – Kifah Mustapha – was recently escorted into the top-secret National Counterterrorism Center and other secure government facilities, including the FBI’s training center at Quantico, during a six-week “Citizen’s Academy” hosted by the FBI as part of its “outreach” to the Muslim Community. The group was accompanied by reporter Ben Bradley of WLS-Chicago (ABC), who filed a report on the trip to Washington D.C. on Sunday, who observed:
Sheik Kifah Mustapha, who runs the Mosque Foundation in Bridgeview, asked some of the most pointed questions during the six week FBI Citizens’ Academy and trip to Washington. He pushed agents to fully explain everything from the bureau’s use of deadly force policy to racial and ethnic profiling. “I saw a very interesting side of what the FBI does and I wanted to know more,” Sheik Mustapha explained after returning from D.C. He hopes the FBI’s outreach runs deeper than positive public relations.

Here's a video from WLS TV in Chicago in which a known Hamas terrorist, Kiphah Mustapha (unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terror financing trial in US history), is taken to visit some of the United States' most sensitive counter-terror operations.
Let's go to the videotape.

Reporter Ben Bradley wrote an article about his experiences following this six week course. Curiously, Bradely ignores Mustapha's background.

At Big Peace, Patrick Poole notes (Hat Tip: Power Line):

the FBI raided the homes of several Midwestern “anti-war activists,” including Hatem Abudayyeh, the head of the Arab American Action Network. Subpoenas served on the activists sought information on payments made to Abudayyeh and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), the Islamic terrorist group which has been responsible for several homicide bombings in Israel, as well as the murder of Israeli Tourism Minister, Rehavam Ze’evi.
Hatem Abudayyeh's wife Ms. Saadeh, works in a Chicago-area Jewish community center daycare for children, but his whole family are West Bank terrorists.

For those who may have forgotten, the virulently anti-Israel Arab American Action Network (AAAN) was founded in 1995 by Obama's friends, Rashid and Mona Khalidi, and was funded by Obama and Bill Ayers through the Woods Fund.

Obamas w edward mariam said may1998 arab community event chicago
This photo taken at the AAAN's Annual Banquet in May 1998.  Ali Abunimah of the Electronic Intifada was there, as were terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn. And Rashid and Mona Khalidis.  Edward Said (pictured next to Barack Obama) was the keynote speaker.

In 2003, when Rashid Khalidi and wife Mona were hired at Columbia University, they left Chicago for New York; the AAAN held a farewell dinner for them, attended by all of the above -including Obama- and then some. At that dinner, testimonials were spoken. Some, if not all, were written and collected in a book given to Khalidi. Of course the public has never seen the book.  Nor have we seen the existing video of the event, now in possession of the LA Times.  They refuse to release it, no doubt for fear of public scrutiny.
While we're on the AAAN, note that the recently disgraced Helen Thomas is slated to be the keynote speaker for their 15th anniversary fundraiser in December.  It figures -- since Arafat and Said are dead, no one knows who Ashrawi is anymore, and Abu Mazen is busy waiting for instructions from the Arab League.
Astute observers of this scene may also want to note that the AAAN Newsletter lists on the masthead 8 Americorps members on their staff (y/our tax dollars at "work.")

HISTORICAL REALITY

some other documents I will burn with the writing of Mohammad.... don't worry there are copies of this online...

Ignatius Bishop of Antioch -

“Epistle of Barnabas” Chapter 4vs 6-7 (between 130A.D. and 138 A.D.)

Take heed to yourselves and be not like some piling up you sins and saying that the covenant is theirs as well as ours. It is ours, but they lost it completely just after Moses received it.

Ignatius Bishop of Antioch (98-117A.D.) – Epistle to the Magnesians

For if we are still practicing Judaism, we admit that we have not received God’s favor…it is wrong to talk about Jesus Christ and live like Jews. For Christianity did not believe in Judaism, but Judaism in Christianity.

Justin Martyr – Dialogue with Trypho (Between 138A.D. and 161 A.D.)

We too, would observe your circumcision of the flesh, your Sabbath days, and in a word, all you festivals, if we were not aware of the reason why they were imposed upon you, namely, because of your sins and the hardness of heart.

The custom of circumcising the flesh, handed down from Abraham, was given to you as a distinguishing mark, to set you off from other nations and from us Christians. The purpose of this was that you and only you might suffer the afflictions that are now justly yours; that only your land be desolated, and you cities ruined by fire, that the fruits of you land be eaten by strangers before your very eyes; that not one of you be permitted to enter your city of Jerusalem. Your circumcision of the flesh is the only mark by which you can certainly be distinguished from other men…as I stated before it was by reason of your sins and the sins of your fathers that, among other precepts, God imposed upon you the observence of the sabbath as a mark.

Origen of Alexandria (185-254 A.D.) – A ecclesiastical writer and teacher who contributed to the early formation of Christian doctrines.

We may thus assert in utter confidence that the Jews will not return to their earlier situation, for they have committed the most abominable of crimes, in forming this conspiracy against the Savior of the human race…hence the city where Jesus suffered was necessarily destroyed, the Jewish nation was driven from its country, and another people was called by God to the blessed election.

John Chrysostom (344-407 A.D.) – One of the “greatest” of church fathers; known as “The Golden Mouthed.” A missionary preacher famous for his sermons and addresses.

The synagogue is worse than a brothel…it is the den of scoundrels and the repair of wild beasts…the temple of demons devoted to idolatrous cults…the refuge of brigands and dabauchees, and the cavern of devils. It is a criminal assembly of Jews…a place of meeting for the assassins of Christ… a house worse than a drinking shop…a den of thieves, a house of ill fame, a dwelling of iniquity, the refuge of devils, a gulf and a abyss of perdition.”…”I would say the same things about their souls… As for me, I hate the synagogue…I hate the Jews for the same reason.

From “The Roots of Christian Anti-Semitism” by Malcolm Hay

St. Augustine (c. 354-430 A.D.), Confessions, 12.14

How hateful to me are the enemies of your Scripture! How I wish that you would slay them (the Jews) with your two-edged sword, so that there should be none to oppose your word! Gladly would I have them die to themselves and live to you!

Peter the Venerable – known as “the meekest of men, a model of Christian charity”

Yes, you Jews. I say, do I address you; you, who till this very day, deny the Son of God. How long, poor wretches, will ye not believe the truth? Truly I doubt whether a Jew can be really human… I lead out from its den a monstrous animal, and show it as a laughing stock in the amphitheater of the world, in the sight of all the people. I bring thee forward, thou Jew, thou brute beast, in the sight of all men.

Martin Luther – 1543

On The Jews and Their Lies

What then shall we Christians do with this damned, rejected race of Jews? Since they live among us and we know about their lying and blasphemy and cursing, we can not tolerate them if we do not wish to share in their lies, curses, and blasphemy. In this way we cannot quench the inextinguishable fire of divine rage nor convert the Jews. We must prayerfully and reverentially practice a merciful severity. Perhaps we may save a few from the fire and flames [of hell]. We must not seek vengeance. They are surely being punished a thousand times more than we might wish them. Let me give you my honest advice.

First, their synagogues should be set on fire, and whatever does not burn up should be covered or spread over with dirt so that no one may ever be able to see a cinder or stone of it. And this ought to be done for the honor of God and of Christianity in order that God may see that we are Christians, and that we have not wittingly tolerated or approved of such public lying, cursing, and blaspheming of His Son and His Christians.

Secondly, their homes should likewise be broken down and destroyed. For they perpetrate the same things there that they do in their synagogues. For this reason they ought to be put under one roof or in a stable, like gypsies, in order that they may realize that they are not masters in our land, as they boast, but miserable captives, as they complain of incessantly before God with bitter wailing.

Thirdly, they should be deprived of their prayer-books and Talmuds in which such idolatry, lies, cursing, and blasphemy are taught.

Fourthly, their rabbis must be forbidden under threat of death to teach any more…

Fifthly, passport and traveling privileges should be absolutely forbidden to the Jews. For they have no business in the rural districts since they are not nobles, nor officials, nor merchants, nor the like. Let them stay at home…If you princes and nobles do not close the road legally to such exploiters, then some troop ought to ride against them, for they will learn from this pamphlet what the Jews are and how to handle them and that they ought not to be protected. You ought not, you cannot protect them, unless in the eyes of God you want to share all their abomination…

To sum up, dear princes and nobles who have Jews in your domains, if this advice of mine does not suit you, then find a better one so that you and we may all be free of this insufferable devilish burden – the Jews…

Let the government deal with them in this respect, as I have suggested. But whether the government acts or not, let everyone at least be guided by his own conscience and form for himself a definition or image of a Jew. When you lay eyes on or think of a Jew you must say to yourself: Alas, that mouth which I there behold has cursed and execrated and maligned every Saturday my dear Lord Jesus Christ, who has redeemed me with his precious blood; in addition, it prayed and pleaded before God that I, my wife and children, and all Christians might be stabbed to death and perish miserably. And he himself would gladly do this if he were able, in order to appropriate our goods…

Such a desperate, thoroughly evil, poisonous, and devilish lot are these Jews, who for these fourteen hundred years have been and still are our plague, our pestilence, and our misfortune.

I have read and heard many stories about the Jews which agree with this judgment of Christ, namely, how they have poisoned wells, made assassinations, kidnapped children, as related before. I have heard that one Jew sent another Jew, and this by means of a Christian, a pot of blood, together with a barrel of wine, in which when drunk empty, a dead Jew was found. There are many other similar stories. For their kidnapping of children they have often been burned at the stake or banished (as we already heard). I am well aware that they deny all of this. However, it all coincides with the judgment of Christ which declares that they are venomous, bitter, vindictive, tricky serpents, assassins, and children of the devil, who sting and work harm stealthily wherever they cannot do it openly. For this reason, I would like to see them where there are no Christians. The Turks and other heathen do not tolerate what we Christians endure from these venomous serpents and young devils…next to the devil, a Christian has no more bitter and galling foe than a Jew. There is no other to whom we accord as many benefactions and from whom we suffer as much as we do from these base children of the devil, this brood of vipers.

Translated by Martin H. Bertram, “On The Jews and Their Lies, Luther’s Works, Volume 47″; Philadelphia: Fortress Press, 1971.

Martin Luther – 1543

Of The Unknowable Name and The Generations of Christ

But your [God’s] judgment is center, justus es Dominie. Yes, so shall Jews, but no one else be punished, who held your word and miracles in contempt and ridiculed, insulted and damned it for such a long time without interruption, so that they will not fall, like other humans, heathens and all the others, into sin and death, not up in Hell, nor in the middle of Hell but in the pit of Hell, as one cannot fall deeper…

Even if they were punished in the most gruesome manner that the streets ran with their blood, that their dead would be counted, not in the hundred thousands, but in the millions, as happened under Vespasian in Jerusalem and for evil under Hadrian, still they must insist on being center even if after these 1,500 years they were in misery another 1,500 years, still God must be a liar and they must be correct. In sum, they are the devil’s children, damned to Hell…

The Jews too got what they deserved. They had been called and elected to be God’s mouth as Jeremiah says…Open your mouth wide and I will fill it; they however, kept tightly closed their muzzles, eyes, ears, nose, whole heart and all senses, so he polluted and squirted them so full that it oozes from them in all places and devil’s filth comes from them.

Yes, that tastes good to them, into their hearts, they smack their lips like swine. That is how they want it. Call more: ‘Crucify him, crucify him.’ Scream more: ‘His blood come upon us and our children.’ (Matthew 27:25) I mean it came and found you…

Perhaps, one of the merciful Saints among us Christians may think I am behaving too crude and disdainfully against the poor, miserable Jews in that I deal with them so sarcastically and insulting. But, good God, I am much too mild in insulting such devils…

A Response To Questions and Objections of a Certain Jew

Their [the Jews] rotten and unbending stiffneckedness deserves that they be oppressed unendingly and without measure or end and that they die in their misery without the pity of anyone.

At least 100 settlers accompanied by the Israeli military have invaded Nablus city in the occupied West Bank, desecrating Prophet Joseph's Tomb.
The attack occurred at midnight, Press TV correspondent Sari al-Khalili reported from Ramallah on Tuesday.
They helpfully provide their readers with a photo of this "desecration":

Marwan Barghouthi: Too early to talk of new intifada

Labels: »
There is a hint here that Palestinians know that the quality of life with all the aid coming in is too good to throw away. One of their most militant leaders seems to be saying that only the people can decide if they want more bloodshed. If you were getting more foreign aid than any place on earth what reason is there to die?
BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Jailed Fatah leader Marwan Barghouthi said it was "too early" to discuss the outbreak of a third Palestinian uprising amidst internal Palestinian division on Tuesday.
Speaking on the 10th anniversary of the Second Intifada from prison, Barghouthi said a new uprising "is to be decided by all Palestinians and is carried out by their will. They are the ones who chose the right time, appropriate means and tools for each stage," adding that neither experts, officials or the Palestinian leadership "expected either the first or second intifada."
"To say that Palestinians are tired, exhausted and indignant toward the Intifadas is unfair and slander against the great Palestinians, the creators of the longest armed revolution in contemporary history and the greatest uprisings in the region," he added.
Barghouthi also expressed strong support in "sharing in the currents of the political process with Hamas and to take any final agreement with Israel to a referendum."
"Hamas is an integral part of the Palestinians, and has popular, electoral and political leverage; I am the first one who called and formulated the slogan 'partners in blood, partners in decision,'" Barghouthi further said.
The Fatah leader was jailed in 2002 for leading the movement's military wing, the Al-Aqsa Brigades, and organizing attacks against the Israeli army. He was sentenced to five life terms and 40 years and is among the high-ranking officials that Hamas seeks to secure the release of in a potential prisoner swap deal for captured Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit.
However, Israel has refused to release the leader, citing the indictments against him. On Tuesday, Israeli Knesset member Shaul Mofaz said his government should consider the release of Palestinian detainees which Israel deems to have "blood on their hands" if it would secure Shalit's release.

to those that don't speak terrorist, Marwan is saying the Palestinians are too complacent with their new found wealth to give a flying fart.  The world might want peace, but most of these fat bastards prefer not working for a living at this point.

Palestinians Rape Peace Activists, But No Big Deal

abusedmulsimwomenq.jpg
Welcome to the Arab Muslim world where men are men and women are cattle.

I have to admit, this story is not surprising, not from any angle.

Women, especially western women, are viewed as fair game in the Arab Muslim world, hence rape is frequently understood as the fault of the victim.

That the raped women have been pressured not to go public with the crimes is standard operating procedure for the international left. Let's not forget that victimhood makes the left go round.

But some victims are, um, more fashionable than others.

Western leftists and their Islamist masters have positioned Israel, the Jews, as the great enemy, hence the despicable crimes of the Paletinians—institutionalized Jew-hatred, international terrorism, and now rape of their own—have been dropped down the Orwellian memory hole.

In short, these leftist rape victims now fall into the category of Holocaust denial—a specialty of the Arab Muslim world.

The rapes never happened.

And if they did, well, it's the fault of the woman.

From Lenin to Stalin to Mao, the left always devours its own.

If you are looking for an adventure of a new and different kind, then you should probably head for the Palestinian territories, where you can do a real service to the oppressed Palestinians and at the same time get first hand experience of solidarity and intimate dialog with Palestinian Arabs, who, it seems, rape American and European female activists.

Israeli Supreme Court enforces Jewish property rights in East Jerusalem

Labels: » »
Israel's 'Supreme Court' has issued an important ruling that recognizes the property rights of Jews in the Western half of the Shimon HaTzadik (Sheikh Jarrah) neighborhood, located just east of the former 1949 armistice line. The result, according to Haaretz, is that hundreds of 'Palestinians' may be evicted from the Jewish-owned homes in which they have been living rent-free for the past 62 years.
essentially the Palestinians tried to say that because some Jews tried to pay leases that the property had never been owned by Jews. Intimidation was probably the reason for paying money. thankfully the court rejected any attempt by Jews to pay for something they should never of paid for in the first place.

The 5 Biggest Lies about Liberalism

Labels: » » » » » » »

Daniel Greenfield
5. Multiculturalism - If you haven't seen the billboards yet, liberals love multiculturalism, they embrace all races and religions because they believe in diversity. True? Nope.
Liberals follow the left's paradigm of waging class warfare. Their interest in minorities extends only to enlisting some disenfranchised groups in their class warfare. Contrary to all the multicultural billboards, liberals are primarily interested in unsuccessful minorities, because they can frighten them, exploit them and farm them as voting blocks. Successful minorities such as Asians, Indians and Jews are wanted only as window dressing. And get the short end of the stick when a real issue comes up. Multiculturalism is really only class warfare disguised as opposition to bigotry. Take away all the historical revisionism about the Democratic party's ugly civil rights history and the empty slogans about diversity, and what you have left is naked political opportunism. The Democratic party trafficked in racism when it suited them (and still does) and dons the halo of tolerance when it suits them now. The left was equally at home working both sides of the street, and the views of great socialists from Jack London to Karl Marx on race, differed little from those of the Nazi party.
Multiculturalism isn't a philosophy, it's a political organization tactic to bring the groups they consider part of the working class under one umbrella. It's the same old class warfare organizational tactics applied to race and ethnicity. The goal of these tactics is not empowerment, but to create a voting bloc of people who have been convinced that they're doomed to helplessness, without the leadership of the left "fighting" on their behalf.
Liberals can still be and often are bigots. Their bigotry is just informed by political necessity. As a bonus, having the "diversity" brand allows them to describe the opposition as bigots, without ever being called out for their own bigotry.
4. Feminism - We all know of course that liberals are the biggest feminists out there, except when they're running against a woman. Or when a woman accuses their candidate of rape or sexual harassment.
Like multiculturalism, owning the feminist brand has been convenient. And it was easy enough to manage once feminism became a wholly owned product of academia, funded by liberal groups like the Ford Foundation. This brand of feminism has as much to do with equal rights for women, as African Studies have to do with equal rights for African-Americans. They're basically little more than ways to repackage the agenda politics of the far left in identity colors. That way socialism can be dressed up as a civil rights agenda, and opposition to it becomes racism or sexism.
That leads us to the absurd spectacle of academic feminists declaring that successful female candidates who don't share their politics are not feminists, but male candidates who do, are. Dig down to their real definition of feminism, and it turns out to be liberalism.
None of this has anything to do with women, just as multiculturalism has nothing to do with race. Take away the disguises, and you end up with the same old ideology marketed to target groups as a political organizing tactic. It's no different than selling cereal, except the cereal is red and comes with a few dozen textbooks.
Liberals are not interested in empowering women, except to work for them or vote for them. There is no philosophical commitment here to equality for women, only a sales pitch for liberalism.
3. Friends of the Poor - We know liberals are against poverty, right? Otherwise why all that talk of making the rich pay their fair share. But if you actually look at socialist countries, the poor aren't exactly coming out ahead. What's the problem?
The problem is that liberals are not into enriching the poor, but removing what they consider the upper class, and turning over control of the economy to themselves. But a centrally planned economy leads to more poverty, not less. Take away the ability to go up the economic ladder, and how can poverty end?
It can't. But ending poverty was never the idea. Wealth redistribution is a neat catchphrase, but the reality is that the rich and the middle class are purged to make way for a new rich and middle class composed of party members. Their brand of equality is not about helping the poor, but putting themselves in charge and imposing an artificial standard of fairness in order to build a perfect society. Before Communism came to Russia, the poor begged on the street. After Communism, begging was illegal and the poor were deported to labor camps as parasites. Because once society is made equal, anyone who's still unequal must be an exploiter or a parasite.
You can't end poverty, except through opportunity, and that's the one thing their social system doesn't offer. It's why America under Obama is poorer than ever. Jobs aren't created by confiscating wealth, but by encouraging free enterprise. But when the goal isn't to create jobs, but to create a static society where everyone knows their place, then their way is best. All totalitarian movements are at their heart, reactionary. Even if they're cloaked in red t-shirts and rock concerts. And reactionary movements are often spearheaded by an upper class trying to deny social mobility to the working class. And when you take a magnifying glass to liberalism, that's exactly what it looks like.
Of course this isn't an original observation. Orwell's Oceania in 1984 worked on the same exact principle. Orwell was warning about the rise of a totalitarian left with no regard for human rights. But it's already here.
2. Pro-Peace - The left is peaceful in the same way that active volcanoes are gentle, and tsuanmis are a good way to cool off after a long summer day.
Look around the world at the left of center regimes, and you come away with a horror show of constant conflicts. (The left explains this as the result of vast conspiracies by reactionary forces against the freedom loving peoples of the world and their friendly dictators.) And then count how many liberals wear t-shirts with King or Gandhi on them, and how many wear t-shirts with Che on them.
If you read the official talking points, you would have no idea that America fought most of its wars in the 20th century under Democratic Presidents. Or that the enthusiastic revolutionaries of the USSR and China between them accounted for more dead, than would have been produced by a nuclear war.
But being pro-peace is yet another talking point. The left is not pro-peace, it's against wars being fought by their political opponents. Take a measure of how much coverage anti-war protests received under Bush, and how much coverage they receive under Obama. The war hasn't gone away, even the protests haven't entirely gone away (mostly by the same Marxist-Trotskyist groups that were running them all along) but the coverage has gone down the rabbit hole.
Then let's take a walk back to WW2, when American liberals went from being anti-war when Hitler invaded Poland, to being pro-war when he invaded the Soviet Union. The Trotskyists of the era remained anti-war and the Communist party in the United States helped the authorities deal with them. Because suddenly war was in their interest.
The liberal position on war is that they are against it, unless they are for it. And then when it's over, they are against it, because it didn't accomplish all their goals. Liberals were against WW2, before they were for it, but then they were against it, once those GI's weren't wearing down German tanks anymore, but blocking Soviet tanks from "liberating" the rest of Europe. Liberals were for Israel, when England was against Israel, but they were against Israel, when Arab tanks forwarded from the Soviet Union were being blown up by the damned Israelis.
An easy way to sketch out the liberal position on a war, is to check the political ideology of the government fighting it and how it accords with their own politics, the political ideology of the enemy they are fighting against, and the effect on any left wing regimes. Add all that up and you get the liberal position on the war. The further left you go, the higher the bar goes.
Liberals will support wars by liberal governments against developed countries they consider reactionary. They will generally oppose all wars by conservative governments. They will generally oppose wars by liberal governments against undeveloped countries, sometimes even when those countries are reactionary, unless the government conducting the war is far to the left.
There are ideological complications and rivalries in the mix. There's also the human factor. Some American liberals did support the American invasion of Afghanistan initially, but the left never did. A handful of liberals actually thought the American program was within their own ideology, but they were primarily British, and were quickly ostracized for it. On the other hand, George Galloway, who openly supported Saddam, is still considered a hero of the people. Because as bad as Saddam worse, the general agreement is that America was worse, because it represents capitalism and people with jobs. Which are not things the left likes.
And there you have it. The left's commitment to peace. Or rather a commitment to anti-war rallies, when the war in question doesn't seem to be in their interest, and isn't being waged to protect a left-wing country, or a group that the left is allied with.
1. Patriotic - Every now and then liberals like to claim that they're patriotic. Usually around an election. Of course they're not patriotic in the "wear a flag on your lapel" kind of way. They're more patriotic in the "point out everything wrong with your country and then threaten to move to Canada if you don't win the election" way. Which is fine. America has seen patriots like that before. They used to wear green coats and moved to Canada, right around the time the last British troops left New York on Evacuation Day.
Occasionally when in power liberals will actually try to brand their opponents as traitors or unpatriotic, but like a dog trying to talk, it never sounds right. Mostly they have to defend themselves against charges of being unpatriotic, particularly when they've been caught attending a church whose rousing hymn is "God Damn America".
It's a challenge being patriotic, when you don't believe in American Exceptionalism, or even the value of the Nation-State. When you think that the world would run better if everyone just listened to what the UN tells them to do. When you think that its history is the story of how rich Europeans murdered all the natives and built smokestacks over their graves in order to plunder South America of its fruit-- being patriotic really requires contortionism that would put any circus acrobat to shame.
That's probably why liberals don't do the patriotism thing very well. It's hard to spit in someone's face one day and then hug them the next. For liberal politicians, patriotism is one of those unfortunate election season things they try to get through as quickly as possible. And hope no one asks them if they believe in the Constitution.
When they're forced to, they will say something vague about America's heritage of tolerance, and imply that the WW2 GI's were fighting for socialism, civilian trials for terrorists and opposition to tort reform. They're most comfortable around the Civil War and WW2. Anything outside that comfort zone makes them itchy. They will pose next to Old Glory when they have to, if they have a relative who fought in a war, they will bring him up. If he's not dead, they will drag him out. If he is dead, they will dig him up. But just don't ask them any questions about the application of their vaunted patriotism. Or why if they're so patriotic, they can't actually get behind their country in wartime.
Of course they will answer that true patriotism means undermining your country in wartime. Which means that Benedict Arnold was the original patriot.

Take away these 5 and what do you have left? Nothing but a political ideology that seeks power and will use any rhetoric and trick to get it
. And that is the real face of modern day liberalism.
