Video - Michael Hastings Cremated Without Family Permission; Wife Hires Private Investigator.

(MFS - The Other News)(Video - Michael Hastings Cremated Without Family Permission; Wife Hires Private Investigator.HT: InfiniteUnknown.)
Michael Hastings’ Ashes Sent Home for Burial (San Diego 6, July 14/15, 2013):
Details uncovered by this reporter shed new light into the June 18 death of journalist Michael Hastings.
Hastings’ friend and confidant SSgt. Joe Biggs disclosed a macabre twist in the award-winning journalist’s death in a suspicious single-car accident. According to SSgt. Biggs, “Michael Hastings’ body was returned to Vermont in an urn.” He further alleged, “Family members did not want Michael’s body cremated.”
This revelation provides another wrinkle in the Los Angeles Police Department’s (LAPD) handling of a case they labeled “no foul play” only hours after the writer’s death.
Nevertheless LA County assistant corner, Ed Winter, said it took two days to identify the burned-beyond recognition body of Hastings. Officials also confirmed that an autopsy has been performed, but the cause of death is still pending. Unfortunately the family will have to wait for cause of death answers as LAPD media spokesperson Lieutenant Andrew Neiman indicated, “It will take several weeks to get the toxicology results.”
SSgt. Biggs also emphatically stated that liquor was not a factor in the accident, as Hastings hadn’t consumed alcoholic beverages in five years.
So why is the LAPD delaying the reports?
It was SSgt. Biggs who released the following chilling email to members of the media; “Subject: FBI Investigation, re: NSA -Hey (redacted names) — the Feds are interviewing my “close friends and associates.” Perhaps if the authorities arrive “BuzzFeed GQ,” er HQ, may be wise to immediately request legal counsel before any conversations or interviews about our news gathering practices or related journalism issues. Also: I’m onto a big story, and need to go off the rada[r] for a bit. All the best, and hope to see you all soon. Michael”
The receipt of this email from Hastings tipped the scales for SSgt. Biggs. “This wasn’t an accident and I will continue to investigate his death.”
As an investigative journalist, Hastings saw his fair share of threats. One particular passage in Hastings book, “The Operators: The Wild and Terrifying Inside Story of America’s War in Afghanistan,” revealed that a former McChrystal staff member made a death threat. “We’ll hunt you down and kill you if we don’t like what you write,” the unnamed staffer said. Hastings coolly retorted: “Well, I get death threats like that about once a year, so no worries.”
Despite the LAPD’s categorization of the Hasting fatal accident as a “no (evidence of) foul play,” LAPD continues to ignore FOIA (CPRA in Calif.) requests made by San Diego 6 News for the police report, 9/11 call, autopsy, bomb squad and toxicology reports, or make the Mercedes available for inspection which only fuels conjecture.)

Wikileaks (Stratfor): Israel traded Georgian UAV codes to Russia for Iranian Tor M-1 codes, Turkey gave Israel S-300 codes

Labels: » » » » »
Not sure how reliable a Mexican police officer is....but the US gov was ready to believe anything... which actually shows how little credibility the Obama administration has regarding their so called friend Israel. It should also be of note that while some of these cables are helpful to the Israelis... (Assange obviously released the less controversial of these cables first), a lot of the cables that are now trickling out are quite damaging. The real problem is that they show the United States government's real feelings towards Israel... much less then at issue is the damage Israel's rep, but more it is a reflection of Obama's true aliance... which is completely paranoid of a Jewish state. Obama is willing to believe anything.
(Carl) Wikileaks' Stratfor email dump is reporting that Israel gave Russia the codes for UAV's that Israel sold to Georgia in exchange for the codes for the Tor M-1 anti-aircraft systems that Russia sold to Iran. Again, I am putting this in chronological order:

Ok, here's the really juicy part:
There is a private Mexican company called Idra that the government funded
to make UAVs. They are actually pretty high standard according to him and
beat out the Israeli UAVs in testing. My friend was consulting Idra at the
time and so he was privy to a lot of deals that were on the table. This is
the story --
The Mexican government is now paying some $25m (? can get the #s later)
for UAVs from Israel. Idra is basically like WTF, but the reason is
basically corruption. There is a deal b/w the Mexican interior ministry
and the Israelis where they're getting a hefty kickback.
This is the interesting part, though.
Idra had an offer to sell UAVs to Georgia (this was happening during and
after the war). The reason Georgia needed the UAVs is because the UAVs
they had bought from Israel had been compromised by the Russians. The
Russians got the data link for the UAV (there is some suspicion that the
Israelis after the war may have given this to them. Remember all the
intense mtgs b/w the Israelis and the Russians where the Russians got the
Israelis to back off of defense deals to Georgia in return for Russia
backing off Iran?). Anyway, the Georgians gave Idra a picture of one of
their crashed UAVs. The source explained though that if the UAV were
targeted, it would have been blown to pieces pretty much (it's like the
size of a car basically). But the picture he saw showed the UAV intact. He
inquired and basically what happened was that the Russians acquired the
data link to hack into the system and force the UAV into the ground. I
think they may have crashed another one too.
So, since the Georgian UAVs were compromised, they then tried to sell them
to the Azerbaijanis. I dont know if that deal went through. Idra backed
off the deal to Georgia because they were advised that it would raise a
lot of political complications between Mexico and Russia.

Met with my Mexican source/friend again today and dude is getting shadier
by the day. We followed up on our past discussion on Russia compromising
the Israeli-made Georgian UAVs prior to the August war.
Here is what else I learned
One of the source's friends/colleagues -- formerly military i think but
now does private defense deals on the side (it's Mexico) contacted him in
July (prior to the Georgia war). Apparently the Georgians had contacted
this guy because they were frantically looking for a replacement for the
Israeli UAVs that were compromised....
Here is the most interesting part:
I inquired more about the compromised Israeli UAVs. What he explained was
that Israel and Russia made a swap -- Israel gave Russia the 'data link'
code for those specific UAVs; in return, Russia gave Israel the codes for
Iran's Tor-M1s.
I asked about the S-300 (source tracks a lot of defense deals for Jane's).
He doesn't think the Russians will give it to the Iranians. Besides, he
said... Israel and Turkey have been collaborating very closely on the
S-300s. He explain how about 8 years ago when Russia sold S-300s to Greece
to base in Crete (which were supposed to protect Cyprus), Russia delivered
those with a carrier so that Turkey wouldn't try to sink them. (things got
a bit noisy so i may have misheard some of this). The gist of what he said
is that Turkey has been cracking the S-300 since the Crete sale and has
been sharing intel on the S-300 with the Israelis to ensure that they
retain an advantage over Iran should Iran get them from the Russians.
as far as the Georgian UAVs go, they were interested in the Mexican ones
because the Mexican UAVs had something (forget the name. it was
auto-something' that basically backs up teh UAV system in case someone
hacks into it and immediately returns the UAV to base.
Hmmm.
By the way, that's a Tor M-1 at the top.
Now you see the true Wikileaks bias... and not the public relations we saw before.

ANNA ARDEN
Julian Assange might be hostile to Jews

(StoneGate) Julian Assange, was plunged into anti-Semitic row as he told a journalist he thought a Jewish conspiracy was being worked against him, which "included" the Guardian's editor Alan Rusbridger. When told Rusbridger was not Jewish, Assange reportedly noted that Rusbridger was "sort of Jewish" because he was related to David Leigh, a Jewish journalist. How do his views and convictions possibly filter down to the way he runs Wikileaks? As it took Helen Thomas close to six decades to come out about her true feelings, this is something that perhaps one can only speculate about.

WikiLeaks Founder Julian Assange Loses Extradition Battle

Labels:
THE DAILY TELEGRAPH (h/t Libra Bunda): WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has lost his High Court bid to block extradition to Sweden where he faces sex crime allegations.
Two judges rejected claims that extraditing the 40-year-old Australian would be "unfair and unlawful".
The Swedish authorities want him to answer accusations of "raping" one woman and "sexually molesting and coercing" another in Stockholm in August last year.
Mr Assange, whose WikiLeaks website published a mass of leaked diplomatic cables that embarrassed several governments and international businesses, denies the allegations and says they are politically motivated.
The High Court upheld a ruling by District Judge Howard Riddle at Belmarsh Magistrates' Court, south London, in February that the computer expert should be extradited to face investigation.
Dressed in a sharp, navy blue suit and wearing a Remembrance Day poppy, the world's most famous whistleblower was mobbed as he approached the court building and police had to redirect him away from the crowd. (MORE PAIN)

Assange: Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned

Assange didn't call back the ladies he was sleeping with... oops. I believe him.
According to the book Mr Assange had been warned that the US government wanted to set him up. He admits to sleeping with two women but says their allegations that some of the encounters were not consensual are either part of a conspiracy or motivated by his failure to return their calls.
The autobiography of Julian Assange is published today despite attempts by the WikiLeaks founder to keep information from coming out... um... yeah... Did I mention this hypocrite is not a supporter of Israel? I wonder if he is pissed that the truth did nothing but spare Israel from Obama's lies and ruined any chance of Diplomacy with Islam. I should thank him. Ironically his downfall is something this blog is dedicated to protect men from, but considering his hypocrisy in secrets I won't shed a tear. So many righteous government informants and whistle blowers were not spared his idealism.

Daniel Domscheit-Berg, former WikiLeaks spokesperson, destroys over 3,500 unpublished documents

Labels: » » » » »
SiliconFilter :: Daniel Domscheit-Berg, a German technology activist and former spokesperson for whistleblower organization WikiLeaks, announced today that he has destroyed over 3,500 unpublished documents that used to sit on WikiLeaks servers until he and others left the organization and took the data with them in late 2010. According to a report by German newsmagazine Der Spiegel (Google Translate), which interviewed Domscheit-Berg, this data includes, among many others, a copy of the no fly list kept by the U.S. government, five gigabytes from the Bank of America and US intercept arrangements for over 100 internet companies. Details - continue to read Frederic Lardinois, siliconfilter.com via @StKonrath nextlevelofnews.com
In a statement, WikiLeaks argues that it tried to negotiate with Domscheit-Berg and that he has “repeatedly attempted to blackmail WikiLeaks by threatening to make available, to forces that oppose WikiLeaks, these private communications [the unpublished documents] and to which Mr. Domscheit-Berg is not a party.”
WikiLeaks is also trying to distance itself from Domscheit-Berg and argues that his “roles within WikiLeaks were limited and started to diminish almost a year ago as his integrity and stability were questioned. […] He is not a founder or co-founder and nor was there any contact with him during the founding years. He did not even have an email address with the organization until 2008 (we launched in December 2006). He cannot program and wrote not a single program for the organization, at any time.”
The relationship between Domscheit-Berg and Assange has been rather contemptuous for a while now. After leaving the organization, the German activist also wrote a book about his experience with WikiLeaks and Assange in particular. In it, he does not paint a very favorable picture of Assange. In addition, he also founded a competing whistleblower platform OpenLeaks, which went public last week. OpenLeaks, which plans to make its platform available to newspaper and other organizations, however, did not have a very smooth launch and was heavily criticized by a number of Wikileaks activists.

There is Some Proof that some of Anonymous is Zionist

prison plant guy shocked to learn that the wikileaks are Pro Israel in content and blames hackers for being zionists

A Prison Planet nut claims that 4Chan hacked an Alex Jones server. Apparently LOLSec is a splinter of Anonymous. Apparently LOLSec and 4Chan are Zionist hacker groups. Many conspiracy theorists now seem to have a certain amount of suspician at Jullian Assange because the information was released in such a way that Israel and Neo Conservatives benefited. As you can see here this Prison Plant fellow has an Irish accent and his background has many members who have sympathy with "freedom" fighters. Even this guy admits that the Wikileak information was a Zionists wet dream. So the hacker groups that are looking to protect Assange and the information being released are Pro Israel, but not all of Anonymous has these views as evidenced by some Anonymous artwork that compared Zionism to other Socialist movements. Obviously it is quite shocking for those who claim to be the counter culture and are in fact a dominant culture in much of the world are quite shocked when they realize that hackers are Zionist and that the real counter culture is not what was expected. You can see this as evidence by some Anonymous Video Productions. Anonymous Hackers are not one person. Some of these guys in a very lose confederation are Zionists.Anonymous Hackers has carried out web attacks to help Wikileaks.

On another aspect of WikiLeaks: Julian Assange vs. Anna Ardin

Labels: » » » »
Whatever you say about Julian A. - be it a genius who came to the world to liberate it from lies; or, as one overexcited and over-left freelance journalist says, a hero that undermines systems of power; or, as I suspect (but keep it to myself) a neurotic nerd with a great idea and a Napoleonic complex that leaves Napoleon standing... whatever it is, a man can't but shudder at the thought of the fate that Julian A. encountered in the person of one Anna Ardin.
The lady with the eye-slits of a sniper is something else, I have to say. Several sources describe her more or less in this way:
Ardin is a notorious radical feminist - but in a sense not necessarily known much outside Sweden*. Feminism in some circles focuses on how men achieve social dominance through sex. Many of these Swedish radical feminists are militant lesbians who use fabricated stories of sexual harassment in an attempt to 'transform' society.
One, so far unconfirmed by others, source says that Ms Ardin filed sexual harassment charges against her own student, this for sending an SMS during her lecture and thus displaying his male dominance. And others add that Ardin ardently believes the patriarchal aspect of Western society is only held in place by the male's ability to rape women. An interesting view, wouldn't you agree? Besides belonging to this peculiar brand of feminism, Anna Arden is the political secretary and press officer of the Swedish "Brotherhood Movement," a group of Christians from the Social Democratic Party controversial for inviting anti-Semitic speakers to the country.
Quite a complex mix, I have to say. But the most blood-curdling brain child of Ms Arden is her seven step guide Ardin published in January for "legal revenge" that involves, in one example, sabotaging a victim's sexual relationships. For your convenience and because Ms Arden is deleting her blogs in the wake of recent events, here is a translation. Now shudder with me, please.
What can I say: unlike the uber-left Nicholas John fervently believes, this is not a sinister conspiracy by powers conspiracy by sinister powers. It is something much worse for poor Julian. So much worse that I really feel pity for him now. Too bad, Julian...
(*) Swedish feminism is verily a fountain of amazing feminist ideas, including one where men are forbidden to urinate standing. Why?
yikes!

Because a man standing up to urinate is deemed to be triumphing in his masculinity, and by extension, degrading women. via simplyjews.blogspot.com

Seven Steps to Legal Revenge: Ardin is known to have been infatuated with (and have translated) the infamous 'Seven Steps to Legal Revenge' which details how to inflict pain on enemies by getting people to stalk them and by using other nefarious tricks. Ardin ardently believes the patriarchal aspect of Western society is only held in place by the male's ability to rape women. via rixstep.com

...but... who is Anna Ardin?  other stories have her as a Zionist betrayer... Anna Ardin Zionist... I even have posts on this blog that mention this.  Here is my theory.... she is both the feminist and the Christian.  Most of us are more complex then an 'ism' we grow through.  That is my guess.  My other guess is that Assange is guilty by Swedish standards of rape... and we should not use a flawed system to punish him.  That would make us like Anna Ardin.

WikiLeaks and the First Amendment

May Face Death Penalty...
Julian Assange might be hostile to Jewish interests, but I have some reservations about prosecuting him. For one thing... the Wikileaks were very good for Israel because it exposed how the United States had double crossed their ally... not just through Obama, but through the CIA who lied to G W Bush. I don't like Assange, but he does a public service. If these classified documents were that vulnerable then there is something very wrong with the leadership in our country. It also highlights to me some of the problems with "Don't Ask Don't Tell"... which created distrust in the army. The military should accommodate humanity and it's human nature for men to feel threatened by Homosexuality.... we are not Spartans and we don't have a pure military culture like the Greeks. To deny any correlation between power and sexuality is a poor decision by any army... and yet we did it. The fact that a Gay man got into the position he did so that he could leak such information, highlights the problem.  Further... on a technicality... it appears Julian Assange is innocent....

Wrapping himself in the First Amendment, Julian Assange recently told "60 Minutes" that "our founding values are those of the American Revolution," those of Jefferson and Madison. Assange may not know that our Constitution was written in secret in Philadelphia, behind closed doors; there were no leaks. But the most imminent First Amendment question confronting WikiLeaks is whether it or Assange can successfully be prosecuted for violation of the Espionage Act. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, in an op-ed piece in The Wall Street Journal, aggressively interpreted the 1917 Act and demanded prosecution. The act's virtually unintelligible provisions arguably make it a felony not just to collaborate with a spy, but to publish information "relating to the national defense." However, prosecuting a publisher raises serious First Amendment issues. In the 1971 Pentagon Papers case, the Supreme Court decided that the government could not prevent The New York Times from publishing classified Defense Department documents. The Nixon administration then tried to prosecute the leaker, Daniel Ellsberg, but not the newspaper. In fact, no publisher has ever been prosecuted under the act.
We don't know whether WikiLeaks was simply the passive recipient of classified documents that came in "over the transom" as we used to say. If it was, that's like the Pentagon Papers case. To be sure, publicizing documents that demonstrate high-level official lying and duplicity, as Ellsberg did, is different from the wholesale dumps that WikiLeaks threatens. Disclosing government secrets just because you can is not necessarily in the public interest.
In recent months, WikiLeaks seems to be moving away from anarchism toward journalism, perhaps motivated by the wish to seek shelter under the First Amendment umbrella. The WikiLeaks site has changed its tune somewhat, now repeatedly emphasizing that its "journalists" review leaked material and exercise some judgment about what it puts in the public domain. It has not foresworn indiscriminate dumping or doctrinaire hostility to any government secrecy, but using responsible judgment would give it a better chance at First Amendment protection.
In deciding whether WikiLeaks would have a First Amendment defense, one question is whether it actively solicited the leaks, perhaps paying the leaker or providing software assistance to facilitate the leaks. Another is whether the information is of legitimate public interest. And whether a disclosure actually caused harm ought to be relevant. (No harm ever resulted from the publication of the Pentagon Papers; the government has not yet identified any specific harm from WikiLeaks disclosures.)
Actively engineering leaks of sensitive information of no legitimate public concern (e.g., the identity of a mole in another country's government), causing actual harm, would subject WikiLeaks to a charge of conspiracy (always a prosecutor's favorite). The government could avoid the First Amendment contention that mere publication can't be made a crime. But a successful prosecution under the messy Espionage Act would remain problematical.
In a sense, WikiLeaks owes its existence to two gaps in First Amendment protection for speech and press freedoms, gaps created by unfavorable Supreme Court decisions.
First, the court decided, in a case that I lost (Houchins v. KQED, 1978), that there is no First Amendment right of access to government information. That is, unlike in some countries in which government transparency is constitutionally mandated, American citizens have no constitutional right to know what their government is up to. All we have is a not very strong statute, the Freedom of Information Act, with a lot of exceptions, including a broad exemption for documents relating to national security. To the extent that WikiLeaks informs us citizens what the government is doing in our name, it partially repairs this flaw in our constitutional protection for speech and press. With better access to government information, there would be less point to WikiLeaks.
Second, the court decided in 1972, in another case on which I worked for the losing side (Branzburg v. Hayes), that reporters have no First Amendment protection against compelled disclosure to a grand jury of their confidential sources. While many states have enacted "reporters shield" laws, Congress has thus far declined to act, and the latest WikiLeaks disclosures seem to have antagonized enough senators to torpedo any chance of enactment soon. The result is that reporters can't honestly promise confidentiality to would-be whistleblowers. A source with sensitive information about government malfeasance can't trust that a reporter will not be subpoenaed to spill the beans about who leaked the information. To the extent that WikiLeaks provides complete anonymity (as it promises on its web site, representing to prospective leakers that it has "never" revealed a source), it again partially repairs a gap in our First Amendment protection. If there were a meaningful shield law that reporters and would-be sources could rely on, WikiLeaks might be superfluous.
However the First Amendment issues play out, let's hope our government's hands are clean. We now know that President Richard Nixon's "plumbers unit" burglarized Ellsberg's psychiatrist's office while he was on trial for violating the Espionage Act. An outraged federal judge dismissed the prosecution because of the government's misconduct.
We have no evidence that the Obama administration was complicit in developing sexual misconduct charges against Assange after WikiLeaks made public thousands of classified military communications about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and sensitive State Department cables. It may be just a coincidence that, following upon the disclosures, friendly Sweden issued an extraordinary international arrest warrant seeking Assange's extradition on a charge of failing to use a promised condom; there can't have been many instances of using such heavy legal artillery for such a charge. Companies that supported the WikiLeaks site, like PayPal, Amazon and Visa, may have decided independently, without any government prompting, to withdraw their support. And hacker attacks on WikiLeaks servers may have been orchestrated by freelancers without any government encouragement. It would be really distressing to learn that our government was involved in any of this. Imagine the irony if any government complicity were established by secret government documents some day to be leaked through WikiLeaks.
via truth-out.org <---- link was taken down

....I wouldn't call Sweden a good ally.  I believe they had their own reasons... perhaps they knew how hurtful the documents were to the Islamic world?
If he goes after Wikileaks too broadly using the notorious Espionage Act of 1917 and other vague laws, how is he going to deal with The New York Times and other mass media that reported the disclosures?

SUMMARY
——–
¶1. (C) The Government of Colombia (GOC) maintains positive
relations with Israel, particularly in the defense sector
through private Israeli defense contractors. Key areas of
cooperation include strategic military advice, special forces
training, and arms sales in support of Colombia’s battle
against the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (“FARC”).
Economic relations between the two countries outside of
defense cooperation remain relatively limited. Colombia’s
Jewish community remains small, with only approximately 4,000
members. End Summary.
MILITARY COOPERATION
——————–
¶2. (S/NF) Colombia’s defense cooperation with Israel cooled
during the 1980s and 1990s, when some Israeli mercenaries
reportedly helped train paramilitary forces in Colombia.
More recently, the GOC has engaged former Israeli military
officials to help provide training and advice in the fight
against the FARC and other terrorist groups. A contact
within the Colombian Ministry of Defense (MOD) told us that
this new relationship dates back to December 2006. Over the
last two years, Embassy officers visiting the MOD and
Colombian military have observed an increased presence of
Israeli advisors.
¶3. (S) Israeli contractors support the GOC through arms
sales, military training, and the provision of strategic
military planning and consulting services. The GOC has also
engaged Israeli contractors to train Colombian special
forces, particularly related to high value targets (HVTs).
In 2005 and 2006, there was significant frustration among
senior Colombian military leadership related to a poor
success rate in killing or capturing HVTs. The GOC
subsequently contracted retired and active duty Israel
Defense Force officers with special operations and military
intelligence backgrounds to help in this regard. Israeli
contractors have also made recommendations to the GOC on
military purchases, joint military operations, and how to
restructure Colombia’s intelligence services.
THE “STRATEGIC LEAP”
——————–
¶4. (S/NF) Colombia’s Ministry of Defense (MOD) has also
engaged an Israeli company, Global Comprehensive Security
Transformation (Global CST), to help the Colombian government
conduct a strategic assessment of the internal conflict.
Global CST is a security company run by Major Gen (reserve)
Yisrael Ziv, former Director of Operations for the Israel
Defense Forces and a personal acquaintance of Colombian
Minister of Defense Juan Manuel Santos. The assessment is
focused primarily on defeating the FARC and other internal
terrorist and criminal organizations, but also includes an
evaluation of external threats including Venezuela and
Ecuador. The MOD is spearheading the exercise and has named
it the “Salto Estrategico” (Strategic Leap).
ARMS SALES
———-
¶5. (C) In February 2008, the GOC signed a deal with the
Israeli government to update 24 Kfir C7s to the C10 version.
The GOC is negotiating a possible USD 160 million avionics
upgrade contract with the Israel state-owned company Israel
Aircraft Industries, Ltd. (IAI). The IAI contract would
involve a complete revamping of Colombia’s aging Mirage 5 and
Kfir fighter aircraft. The GOC is also negotiating the
possible purchase of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) from
IAI, with intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR)
capabilities. A consortium including IAI is also bidding on
the sale of naval frigates to the GOC. According to an
internal MOD document, roughly 38% (606,773 million Colombian
pesos) of the GOC’s foreign defense purchases went to Israel
in 2007. The GOC arms purchases from Israel have not led to
direct or indirect GOC support to Israel in other political
or economic areas, such as countering Iran, or in supporting
Israeli positions at the United Nations.
COLOMBIA’S JEWISH COMMUNITY

¶6. (C) The Jewish community in Colombia is concentrated in
Bogota, with smaller communities in Cali, Barranquilla and
Medellin. The Confederation of Associations of Bogota
represents the Ashkenazi, Sephardic and German Jewish
communities in the country, and there are some nine
synagogues in Colombia. In the mid-1990s, the Jewish
community was estimated to be around 5,500, although many
Jews subsequently left due to violence and economic
instability. An estimated 4,000 Jews currently reside in
Colombia. There are no indications that Colombia’s foreign
policy interests are shaped by the country’s Jewish
community.
ECONOMIC RELATIONS
——————
¶7. (C) Israel’s economic relations with Colombia remain
relatively limited. Colombian exports to Israel fell 17
percent from 2005 to 2007, dropping from USD 197 million to
USD 164 million. During the same period, Colombian imports
rose 60 percent, increasing from USD 99 million to USD 161
million. Israel ranked as Colombia’s 26th largest trading
partner in 2007. Over 88 percent of Colombian exports to
Israel in 2007 consisted of minerals or hydrocarbons. The
majority of Colombian imports from Israel in 2007 were
divided among the following sectors: arms and ammunition (28
percent); electrical machinery (25 percent); and
non-electrical machinery including boilers (11 percent).
While precise country of origin data for foreign direct
investment (FDI) is difficult to confirm, Israel has not been
a significant source of FDI in Colombia in recent years.
¶8. (S) A previous, comprehensive report prepared by DIA on
relations between Israel and Colombia is being sent to INR
via e-mail.

Assange accuses Jews and WHO of a smear campaign?

Labels: » »
The fact that Wikileaks founder Julian Assange accused Jews of conducting a smear campaign against him is no big deal - that happens every Muntag and Danershtag (that would be Monday and Thursday for those of you who aren't members of the tribe that controls the world). The real news here is that he accuses al-Guardian - AL-GUARDIAN!?! - of being part of the conspiracy (Hat Tip: Andrew Sullivan).
His remarks appeared in the magazine Private Eye, in an article by its editor, Ian Hislop, who outlined a rambling phone call that Mr. Assange made on Feb. 16 to complain about the coverage of WikiLeaks.
He was especially angry about a Private Eye report that Israel Shamir, an Assange associate in Russia, was a Holocaust denier. Mr. Assange complained that the article was part of a campaign by Jewish reporters in London to smear WikiLeaks.
A lawyer for Mr. Assange could not immediately be reached for comment, but in a statement later released on the WikiLeaks Twitter feed, Mr. Assange said Mr. Hislop had “distorted, invented or misremembered almost every significant claim and phrase.”
The Private Eye article quoted Mr. Assange as saying the conspiracy was led by The Guardian and included the newspaper’s editor, Alan Rusbridger, and investigations editor, David Leigh, as well as John Kampfner, a prominent London journalist who recently reviewed two books about WikiLeaks for The Sunday Times of London.
When Mr. Hislop pointed out that Mr. Rusbridger was not Jewish, Mr. Assange countered that The Guardian’s editor was “sort of Jewish” because he and Mr. Leigh, who is Jewish, were brothers-in-law. Later, the article recounted, Mr. Assange asked Mr. Hislop to “forget the Jewish thing,” but he continued to insist there was a conspiracy against WikiLeaks based on the friendship among Mr. Rusbridger, Mr. Leigh and Mr. Kampfner.
In the Twitter feed, Mr. Assange said that “in particular” the Private Eye report that he believed in a “ ‘Jewish conspiracy’ is false, in spirit and in word. It is serious and upsetting. Rather than correct a smear, Mr. Hislop has tried to justify one smear with another.”
Israel Shamir is an anti-Semite and a Holocaust denier. I guess now we know that Assange is one too.
Jeffrey Goldberg adds:
One of the great advantages of being Jewish -- and there are many (we invented both ethical monotheism and whitefish salad, after all) -- is that though there are only about 14 million of us on the whole planet (18 million before World War II, Mr. Galliano), people can't stop talking about us! It is very exciting to be a part of so many different fantasies.
Actually, sometimes I think I'd rather be left alone to control the world.
...I so wanted to help this guy. part of me felt bad for these leftists. their intent was to expose Neo Cons and here they are weakening the most left wing government in American history.

Extradited for the Left Wing Feminist Lynch Mob. Government Uses Sex

if there is a question regarding the legitimacy (such as if the trial were politically motivated) then it is hard to understand the ruling. I have no bias towards Assange and his politics in that I do not share them, but I can see doubt as to the objectivity of the forum
THE DAILY TELEGRAPH: WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange should be extradited to Sweden for alleged sex offences, a judge has ruled.
District Judge Howard Riddle rejected the defence's claims that their client could not get a fair trial because of media coverage and even comments by the country's Prime Minister in Parliament.

Dianne Feinstein is WRONG: says Prosecute Assange Under the Espionage Act

Labels: »
The Democrats are obviously pissed. They know the Wikileaks have hurt them

The law Mr. Assange continues to violate is the Espionage Act of 1917. That law makes it a felony for an unauthorized person to possess or transmit "information relating to the national defense which information the possessor has reason to believe could be used to the injury of the United States or to the advantage of any foreign nation.", says Dianne Feinstein

It is not obvious that Assange has hurt the United States. If anything so far he has helped our interests. If we arrest Assange then we would have to arrest Obama and Clinton. Their actions with so called diplomacy, which were really lies, have hurt our country. If anything Assange should be rewarded for showing how unethical Obama and his allies really are.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange arrested in U.K.

Although many of the sensitive sites — which include key suppliers of vaccines and other medicines — are well-known, Kean said the fact that they are listed as important to the U.S. gives enemies valuable intelligence. "It's one thing for a group to sit around and make a list of things that might be important to the U.S.," he said. "It's another thing to have the list that was developed by the U.S. government."
Randall Larsen, former executive director of the congressional Commission on the Prevention of Weapons of Mass Destruction Proliferation and Terrorism, said the list's publication would make WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange an enemy of the world: "Every nation in the world is soon going to realize what an enemy this guy is. He just published the target list."
I don't buy the US claim at all. These terrorist networks would not be that dangerous unless they already knew that blowing up a petroleum pipe raises the price of oil. Assange I might not agree with, but he is guilty of one thing. Egg in Obama's face

WikiLeaks’ Assange May Surrender to British police

In what Assange described as a last-ditch deterrent, WikiLeaks has warned that it has distributed a heavily encrypted version of some of its most important documents and that the information could be instantly made public if the staff were arrested.
arrest him... so that we can see all this shit at once. I hate the anticipation!
Julian Assange’s lawyer was arranging to deliver the WikiLeaks founder to British police for questioning in a crimes investigation of the man who has angered Washington by spilling thousands of government secrets on the Internet.Lawyer Mark Stephens told reporters in London that the Metropolitan Police had called him to say they had received an arrest warrant from Sweden for Assange. Assange has been staying at an undisclosed location in Britain.

Revealed: Assange ‘rape’ accuser linked to notorious CIA operative

Labels: » » » » » » » » » » » »

Please note that the website this is taken from is not credible, but we should all make a note of the story. The claim here is that Assange's accusors are Zionist Feminists who were Leftists and were secretly working for the CIA. I find the story to be believable however. The sources might not be good, but the story makes a lot of sense. I'm feeling completely neutral on the issue of Assange. It would make sense that interested parties would want to damage his reputation and would use hot Zionists as a cover. It is interesting that much of the information in the early "Strawman" Wikileaks were to Israel's benefit and I could see these girls wanting to help the guy at first before getting a reality check from the CIA

One of the women that is accusing WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange of sex crimes appears to have worked with a group that has connections to the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

James D. Catlin, a lawyer who recently represented Assange, said the sex assault investigation into the WikiLeaks founder is based on claims he didn't use condoms during sex with two Swedish women.

Swedish prosecutors told AOL News last week that Assange was not wanted for rape as has been reported, but for something called "sex by surprise" or "unexpected sex."

One accuser, Anna Ardin, may have "ties to the US-financed anti-Castro and anti-communist groups," according to Israel Shamir and Paul Bennett, writing for CounterPunch.

While in Cuba, Ardin worked with the Las damas de blanco (the Ladies in White), a feminist anti-Castro group.
Professor Michael Seltzer pointed out that the group is led by Carlos Alberto Montaner who is reportedly connected to the CIA.
Shamir and Bennett also describe Ardin "leftist" who "published her anti-Castro diatribes (see here and here) in the Swedish-language publication Revista de Asignaturas Cubanas put out by Misceláneas de Cuba."
Shamir and Bennett noted that Las damas de blanco is partially funded by the US government and also counts Luis Posada Carriles as a supporter.
A declassified 1976 document (.pdf) revealed Posada to be a CIA agent. He has been convicted of terrorist attacks that killed hundreds of people.
Ardin is "a gender equity officer at Uppsula University – who chose to associate with a US funded group openly supported by a convicted terrorist and mass murderer," FireDogLake's Kirk James Murphy observed.
In August, Assange told Al-Jazeera that the accusations were "clearly a smear campaign."
"We have been warned that, for example, the Pentagon is planning on using dirty tricks to destroy our work," Assange told the Swedish daily newspaper Aftonbladet.
The WikiLeaks founder said he was told to be careful of "sex traps." Had Assange fallen for one of those traps? "Maybe. Maybe not," he said.
Catlin observed that both Ardin and Sofia Wilén, the second accuser, sent SMS messages and tweets boasting of their conquests following the alleged "rapes."
"In the case of Ardin it is clear that she has thrown a party in Assange's honour at her flat after the 'crime' and tweeted to her followers that she is with the 'the world’s coolest smartest people, it’s amazing!'" he wrote.
"The exact content of Wilén’s mobile phone texts is not yet known but their bragging and exculpatory character has been confirmed by Swedish prosecutors. Niether Wilén’s nor Ardin’s texts complain of rape," Catlin said.
Ardin has also published a seven step guide on how to get revenge on cheating boyfriends.
When the charges were first leveled in August, Gawker raised doubts that Ardin was working for the CIA.
"If anything, Ardin's outing tends to undercut Assange's conspiracy theory that one of his accusers is a major figure on Sweden's left fringe, freewheelingly indiscreet on her personal blog and, until her charges, an enthusiastic promoter of Assange's visit to the country," Gawker wrote.
After Interpol issued a digital "wanted" poster for Assange on Monday morning, an unnamed Scotland Yard source reportedly told Press Association it had been given the documents needed for the arrest. Police would not comment on the report publicly.
Several British news outlets speculated that Assange could be arrested as early as Tuesday.
On Monday evening, Mark Stephens, Assange's London lawyer, was negotiating with British authorities over an arrest warrant they'd recieved from their Swedish counterparts. Assange has vowed to fight extradition.

The WikiLeaks are interesting in that they bring together hostile parties.  too often I have been accused of relying on "Right Wing Media Sources".  It really isn't true.  I pay attention to all media... and here is a Pro Palestinian website who I agree with regarding their observations of the Rape or http://xrl.us/SurpriseSex accusations towards Assange.  They believe the CIA got a hold of some feminsit Zionists in Sweden to do their dirty work... and my take is that then they can blame this all on Israel

The WikiLeaks founder is an unscrupulous megalomaniac with a political agenda. - By Christopher Hitchens - Slate Magazine

Julian Assange. Click image to expand. In my most recent book, I reprint some words from a British Embassy cable, sent from Baghdad to the Foreign Office in 1976. The subject is Iraq's new leader. His quiet coup d'etat is reassuringly described as "the first smooth transfer of power since 1958." It is added, as though understatement were an official stylistic requirement in official prose, that although "strong-arm methods may be needed to steady the ship, Saddam will not flinch." It's not absolutely certain whether these words were used just before or just after the "smooth transfer" had been extended to include Saddam's personally supervised execution of half the membership of the Baath Party's ruling political bureau.

I came across this cable after it had been declassified a few years ago, and I reprinted it because it very accurately reflected the tone of what I'd been told by British diplomats when I was visiting Iraq at the time. And I ask myself: What if I had been able to get my hands on that report when it was first written? Not only would I have had a scoop to my name, but I could have argued that I was exposing a political mentality that—not for the first time in the history of the British Foreign Office—chose to drape tyranny in the language of cliché and euphemism.
But what else, aside from this high-minded ambition (or ambitious high-mindedness), ought I to have considered? A democratically elected British Parliament had enacted an Official Secrets Act, which I could be held to have broken. Would I bravely submit to prosecution for my principles? (I was later threatened with imprisonment for another breach of this repressive law, and it was one of the reasons I decided to emigrate to a country that had a First Amendment.) The moral "other half" of civil disobedience, as its historic heroes show, is that you stoically accept the consequences that come with it. Then there is diplomacy itself. One of civilization's oldest and best ideas is that all countries establish tiny sovereign enclaves in each other's capitals and invest these precious enclaves of peaceful resolution with special sorts of immunity. That this necessarily includes a high degree of privacy goes without saying. Even a single violation of this ancient tradition may have undesirable unintended consequences, and we rightly regard a serious breach of it with horror. We found out everything we would ever need to know about Ayatollah Khomeini and his ideology when he took diplomats as hostages.

The cunning of Julian Assange's strategy is that he has made everyone complicit in his own private decision to try to sabotage U.S. foreign policy. Unless you consider yourself bound by the hysterically stupid decision of the Obama administration to forbid all federal employees from downloading or viewing the WikiLeaks papers, you will at the very least have indulged in a certain amount of guilty pleasure. In a couple of major instances, the disclosures are of great value to the regime-change die-hards among us. More Arab regimes want Washington to take on Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and more urgently than anyone had guessed; I would very much rather know this now than 20 years later. Iran was able to acquire some missile capacity from North Korea; so would Saddam Hussein have been if we had left him in his so-called "box." We already know that his envoys were meeting North Korean missile dealers in Damascus before the threat of the coalition's intervention caused the vendors to return hastily to Pyongyang. The latest leaks complete an important part of an important case.
As for the public's right to know and the accountability of our covert or confidential agencies, it is only a short time since the entire American liberal consensus was witlessly applauding a clumsy and fruitless prosecution, directed entirely at the hopelessly overdramatized exposure of a relatively minor CIA official, married to a monster of conceit who makes Assange look bashful. It then turned out that Valerie Plame's job description had been made public by Robert Novak and Richard Armitage, who also had in common with Assange a rooted opposition to the administration's Iraq policy. Elements of the left and the right appear to have switched positions on full disclosure since then.
Attempts to prosecute Assange will, I predict, be either too little or too late, or both, or worse. There is a good reason the Espionage Act of 1917 has such a rusty and unused sound to it. It was a panic measure passed during a time of Wilsonian war hysteria, and none of its provisions will serve in the cyberworld. Meanwhile, the very word Interpol has been a laughing stock for decades in law-enforcement circles, and, though I find it easy to picture Assange as a cult leader indulging himself with acolytes, the sex charges against him don't appear to amount to rape and have a trumped-up feel to them. They also give him an excuse to recruit sympathy and stay out of sight instead of turning himself in.
And that, of course, prosecution or no prosecution, is what he really ought to do. If I had decided to shame the British authorities on Iraq in 1976, I would have accepted the challenge to see them in court or otherwise face the consequences. I couldn't have expected to help myself to secret documents, make myself a private arbiter of foreign policy, and disappear or retire on the proceeds. All you need to know about Assange is contained in the profile of him by the great John F. Burns and in his shockingly thuggish response to it. The man is plainly a micro-megalomaniac with few if any scruples and an undisguised agenda. As I wrote before, when he says that his aim is "to end two wars," one knows at once what he means by the "ending." In his fantasies he is probably some kind of guerrilla warrior, but in the real world he is a middle man and peddler who resents the civilization that nurtured him. This Monday, in two separate news reports, the New York Times described his little cabal as an "anti-secrecy" and "whistle-blowing" outfit. Such mush-headed approval at least can be withheld from the delightful Julian, even as we all help ourselves to his mart of ill-gotten goods.

Bank Of America Selling Accelerates, As Fears Spread That It's In The Wikileaks Crosshairs

Labels: » » »
Bank of America is down over 1.7% right now, far underperforming the rest of the banking sector, as fears spread that it's the target of a forthcoming Wikileak. Last night the news broke that Wikileaks founder Julian Assange said the next leak would be a bank, and today it was discovered that in 2009 he said he had 5GB of data on the bank. Ominously in the interview he warned that new revelations could take down a bank. By comparison, Citigroup is up 1.8%, and Wells Fargo is flat right now.
I'm starting to really like this WikiLeak thingy. please get some dirt on Goldman Sach by any means
