The comic book industry doesn't get that creating ethnic characters by replacing white characters is not flattering to ethnics at all. What is even more disturbing is the strange need for a Black Latino Spiderman to be Gay. Why can't Peter Parker suck that shlong himself? It's a gimmick. It's exploitative to everyone. I don't have a problem with Gay characters... even lead Gay characters if the Gay community needs to tell it's narrative, but the way this is going about is disgusting. For one thing it co-opts the audience's values. Some children's parents might not want their kids seeing this. Anyway... it's Capitalism... so buyer beware. Media really didn't do their homework. Pink for men and Light Blue for women used to be the Norm. Light Blue was a sign of virginity and purity which is the trait preferred. Pink used to be a sign of class. You might say men in Pink is a sign debauchery and an excessive culture of the aristocratic class.

What they promised is equality through order. But now all that remains is the order.
