Hollywood Leftist Roseanne Barr To Seek Socialist Party’s Nomination For President, Will Choose Cindy Sheehan As Running Mate

Call me crazy but I don’t think they will win.

Actress Roseanne Barr announced Thursday that she is seeking the Peace and Freedom Party’s nomination for president, with anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan as her intended running mate.
Barr sought the Green Party’s nomination earlier this year, but lost to Massachusetts physician Jill Stein.
Her renewed candidacy, first reported by the Los Angeles Times, will likely hurt the lesser-known Stein’s footing. Stein’s running mate is also relatively unknown, unlike Sheehan, who became famous for protesting the Iraq War outside President George W. Bush’s Texas ranch. [...]
Founded in 1967, the Peace and Freedom Party is a relatively well-known, but small, left-wing party. In 1968 its presidential candidate was Black Panther leader Eldridge Cleaver.
Akin said the party will have ballot access in California, and likely in Florida — where he said organizers have until Saturday to clinch ballot listing ahead of November’s vote. He said the party’s nominee will almost certainly appear on other states’ ballots via cross-listing by other minor parties.
“Roseanne Barr, who seems to have considerale national attention, will probably be able to get the nominations of several of those minor parties,” Akin said, noting that Ralph Nader — the Green Party’s candidate in 1996 and 2000 — ran as an independent in 2004 and 2008 and appeared on many state ballots.
One distinction between the Green Party and the Peace and Freedom Party, Akin explained, is that “the word ‘socialist’ is often attached to our party and we don’t mind it one bit, [but] the Green Party typically avoids it.”
The tagline on Barr’s candidate statement on the Peace and Freedom Party’s website reads: “Socialism – it’s not just for Wall Street, military contractors, or Congress anymore, but all Americans!”

The Electronic Intifada has repudiated Atzmon... it's that bad. I suppose I should clarify more when I present their views, but they are so far off the farm that I don't deem it worthy. have a nice laugh. You do realize that we spent 2006 to 2008 taking Cindy Sheehan seriously as a cultural voice. If you wonder why things were so hateful, look who she associates with.

I empathize with the loss of her son, but we can not allow this lady to dictate international policy. she is victim and she is a tragedy, but this doesn't mean she is rational.

what gives Cindy away as crazy is she desperately already has written off the Nigerian underwear bomber as a patsy. The facts aren't even in yet on that case. the only thing we know is he was a banker's son.

She's always kind of danced around the edges of the 9-11 Fruitcake brigade, but she can't deny that she's a Truther any more. In a podcast interview here, she says (starts around 21:48):

"I think a new investigation is something that many many people agree with, if people don't start saying, 'It's an inside job.' Because that turns a lot of people off, even though I think it [9-11] was an inside job, I just don't know how far inside it went. But as soon as you say it's an inside job, people start saying, oh, you're accusing Dick Cheney of planning the whole thing, blah blah blah. Well, of course, some people are (laughs) but then people say, we don't know, we need to find out. Was it CIA? Was it whoever? Whoever, um, it had to be an inside job. There's like no way they could have done that, just like the one on December 25th. There's no way that guy could have done it without some kind of help, and we know he got help. Who was (crosstalk) that nice-dressed man that got him through that these people witnessed, got him through security?"

So she believes it was an inside job, she just doesn't recommend it as a slogan.
