Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg sat mute after being confronted by a shareholder over anti-conservative bias

Labels: »

Facebook’s Zuckerberg sits mute when confronted over anti-conservative bias by shareholder By Joe Newby - June 22, 2016  On Monday, the National Center for Public Policy Research said that=. “It was amateur hour as chaos and disorganization ruled the day at today’s Facebook meeting,” said National Center Free Enterprise Project Director Justin Danhof, Esq, according to a press release issued by the group. “From the beginning – when the meeting didn’t even start on time – to the company’s inability to follow its own guidelines and agenda for the meeting, it was clear that Facebook’s management team had little respect for its investors in attendance. And the company’s continued denial that it has ever been biased against conservatives flies in the face of reality.” “Despite the company’s protestations, it is quite clear that it continues to mistreat conservative groups and individuals. Most conservatives have known for years that Facebook is biased against them, but the evidence was largely anecdotal,” Danhof added. “However, in May, former Facebook workers went on the record and confirmed those suspicions, telling Gizmodo that the company routinely suppresses conservative news. Facebook was caught with its hand in the cookie jar and held one meeting with Glenn Beck and a few other conservatives to try to calm the waters. Today, we put Mr. Zuckerberg and the rest of Facebook’s leadership team on notice that one meeting with a few conservatives does not make up for the continuing mistreatment of conservative individuals and organizations.” Here’s part of the question Danhof put to Zuckerberg: Whether you’re willing to admit the company has a bias problem or if you think bias is merely a matter of perception, the fact is that perception is very often reality. Facebook has an extra duty to overcome this problem now that the company have been called out by former employees for targeting conservatives. My question is this: what affirmative steps are in place to increase transparency regarding Facebook’s news section and its removal of pages and posts, and what do you have to say to the conservative individuals and groups who have been harmed – and continue to be harmed – by the company’s bias actions? The entire question Danhof prepared can be seen here. Unfortunately, it was cut short because Facebook only allowed questioners one minute, despite having a small audience and the fact that most companies allow three minutes for questions. Zuckerberg, Danhof said, sat mute and referred the question to another executive, who claimed that Facebook’s internal investigation exonerated the company. Nevertheless, that executive said Facebook is making changes to its trending news section. “Why is Facebook making the change (if) there is nothing wrong?” Danhof asked. “When Facebook was caught red-handed targeting conservatives, the company self-selected a few conservative folks, held a meeting, and then thought the issue was over. If any conservative was likewise convinced that the issue is over and that Facebook is now playing it straight, today’s meeting should cause them pause. I am now more convinced that if Facebook employees are targeting conservatives – and there are legions of examples of this occurring – that Zuckerberg wouldn’t have a clue that it’s happening,” Danhof said. “Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg clearly moves in an elitist Silicon Valley circle in which conservative thought and opinion is verboten. While it’s totally fine for him to engage in extreme leftwing politics and public policy issues in his personal life, as the CEO of a company whose role in the media landscape is growing, he should be aware that his personal actions are often applied to Facebook’s brand,” Danhof added. “If Zuckerberg’s goal is to make Facebook a media platform on par with MSNBC and the New York Times – where only far-left thought is allowed – then he should just be honest with his investors and consumers and say so. But if the company is going to claim that it presents the news objectively, it certainly has a long way to go.” Issues like this are the reason that Adina Kutnicki, an investigative journalist based in Israel, and I wrote “Banned: How Facebook enables militant Islamic jihad.” That book, endorsed by Pam Geller, president of the American Freedom Defense Initiative, is set to be released this fall. (Man In Glass House Dress In Basement)

Zukerberg @FinkD caught on an open mike telling Merkel that he was stifling negative stories about refugees

As reported in September, he was caught on an open microphone telling German Chancellor Angela Merkel that he was working on ways to stifle negative stories about migrants in the country.
Within the last few days, many said Facebook anned them for simply posting anti-Hillary articles or articles opposed to gun control.  One writer, an investigative journalist in Israel, said she was given a three-day ban for literally nothing. She went on to say that she was placed back into “Facebook jail” just two hours after the initial ban was over.
There’s the damning video released by Shurat HaDin — The Israel Law Center.  That video documents for perhaps the first time the site’s biased treatment in favor of pages against Israel and Jews, something many have complained about for some time.
Blogger Jeff Dunetz said Monday that Facebook finally took down the anti-Israel page in Shurat HaDin’s experiment, but only after the blatant bias was exposed for all to see.  A Facebook spokesperson said it was due to a “mistake.” (MORE)

Lawmakers call for trade commission to investigate Facebook

Labels: »
I suspected as much from all social networks and online sites.
(Hill) Reps. Joe Barton (R-Texas) and Edward Markey (D-Mass.) on Wednesday called for the Federal Trade Commission to investigate Facebook's practice of tracking users even after they log out of its site. (IHatetheMedia) ...Zuckerberg is a spying little weasel. Too bad someone doesn’t kick his weaselly ass. (Daily Mail) ...when you sign up to Facebook it automatically puts files known as ‘cookies’ on your computer which monitor your browsing history. Some cookies remain on your computer after you log out, and report back when you visit a site connected to Facebook. Mr Cubrilovic wrote: ‘Even if you are logged out, Facebook still knows and can track every page you visit. ‘The only solution is to delete every Facebook cookie in your browser, or to use a separate (web) browser for Facebook interactions. ‘This is not what ‘logout’ is supposed to mean’. (MORE PAIN)(Pretty Much Everything Related To You And Facebook Is Recorded In Your Facebook Permanent Record | Techdirt)Thanks to European data privacy rules, some folks have successfully requested and received a detailed list of all the data that Facebook has kept about them. They've released a redacted version of the document for one person, which comes in at a hefty 880 pages. To be honest, nothing in this is all that surprising, but it does highlight just how much data Facebook ends up with and that it appears to not delete very much, if anything, ever. The parts that seemed a bit questionable to me were things like recording every computer from which you'd ever logged in... as well as a list of all other Facebook people who have logged in from that same machine. I'm assuming they use this for security/anti-phishing, but it's still a bit creepy to keep all that information. The other part that's a bit strange is that Facebook keeps deleted messages. That's a bit more troubling, since most people expect that when they delete things, they're really deleted. Still, while a lot of people may make a big deal out of this, it still doesn't seem particularly surprising or really bad. At best it's just a reminder of how much info you're giving out, and that Facebook is hanging onto... forever. Perhaps your "permanent record" is becoming a real thing. (MORE PAIN)

ACTION ALERT: Facebook Censors MASSIVE "Jews" Page on Passover!

Labels: » » » » » » » »

... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... We have good friends who admin a massive, 245,000+ strong "JEWS" page (http://www.facebook.com/thejews) on Facebook. The "Jews" page shares a lot of our work, and a lot of other great, pro-Israel and Jewish information with their fans. Facebook appears to be in the process of censoring that page. It's either that, or an unfortunate glitch, but considering:
  • Facebook's history of censoring pro-Israel, Jewish material (see here, here and here)
  • Facebook's threats of censoring other content produced by people they arbitrarily "just don't like" (see here)
  • The fact that they allow thousands of anti-Israel, Holocaust denial, and other antisemitic and Islamic terrorist pages (see here, here, here, here and many other pages on our site)
  • The fact that they submitted to Islam by censoring the "Everybody Draw Mohammed Day" groups
...we don't think this is a coincidence.
We feel this might also be politically motivated, especially considering one of Randi Zuckerberg's (sister of the founder of Facebook) recent Tweets:
Dress rehearsal for President Obama's Facebook Town Hall tomorrow! It's getting close!
As compared to the "Jews" page's final post before the censorship, (linking to one of our articles):
Say whaaaat? Click "LIKE" and SHARE this if you're tired of Obama preaching to Jews!  Obama Edumacates Jews about Passover: "It's like Islamic Uprisings, Ya Dig?"

We urge you to contact Facebook and ask them to either fix this "glitch" or bring this page back fully. As the admins of the page have written:
We cannot post as admins anymore to the group at large - meaning, we cannot post any more updates. And our main URL: http://www.facebook.com/thejews no longer leads to our page. Basically, these two factors are killing this page and our ability to share information....
TAKE ACTION!
Here is the Jews' page main note, instructing people on what they can do to try to help:
To All Fans and Supporters of the "Jews" Page:
As we mentioned earlier, we feel Facebook might be censoring us, as we no longer have the ability to post, and clicking to our URL (http://www.facebook.com/thejews)no longer brings you to our page!
This is especially "ironic" considering the number of Islamic terrorist and other antisemitic Facebook pages which directly call for the hatred and murder of Jews all over this platform. We've worked hard to build this page up to over 245,000 "likes" (or fans) and to keep antisemitic, Islamic terrorist, and other vulgar content off of our forum.
We're hoping and praying that Facebook restores our page to its full capacity, ASAP!!
Here's how you can help:
1. Click here: http://www.facebook.com/help/contact.php?show_form=pages_bug
2. Fill out the form as follows:
Subject: Bring back the JEWS page and full admin privileges!
Page Name: Jews
Web address (URL) of Page: http://www.facebook.com/thejews
Description of the issue you are encountering: (Post what you want here about the page, or you can use the following): I can no longer access the page via its URL: http://www.facebook.com/thejews, and the admins are saying that you have revoked their ability to bring me new updates. I love this page for its exciting content and now the admins can't bring us updates? Why do you censor Jews? This page was doing a lot of great work on Jewish/Israel issues, and I don't understand why this is happening? Please bring back this page in its full capacity ASAP! Thank you!

Thanks for your help in bringing us back to full capacity!
Hopefully we'll be back up and running in no time!
-Jews Page Admins
Thank you for your help in this matter!  We urge you to SHARE THIS ACTION ALERT WIDELY through email, Facebook, Twitter etc.
G-d willing, Facebook will do the right thing for a change and restore the Jews page to its full capacity.

facebook thinks they can censor the Jews page, but are slow to react to censor a page that calls for violence against Jews.

meanwhile... what is going on with facebook that ZuckerTurd had to bully his fellow Jews?

....The social media president made his first stop on his California campaign swing at the headquarters of Facebook in Palo Alto, just down the street from Hewlett-Packard. The heavily-staged “town hall” event went down as scripted, with billionaire Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg asking the questions that were submitted in advance and over the Web.

Zuckerberg, sans hoodie, was a little nervous from the get-go being in the presence of President Obama on the big Internet stage. via blogs.barrons.com

Dubai police chief Dahi Khalfan Tamim urged Arab countries to thoroughly check any Jewish person who carries a non-Israeli passport.

How come Mark's sister Randi didn't have a problem here?  Could it be because her Bro censors Jews and is a tool for the Arab dictatorship and establishment in Muslim countries?

Facebook sued for negligence over "Third Intifada" page

Facebook's Official Response on Facebook Intifada Page
...facebook said it started"peacefully"?...image was from some newspaper in...Seattle
Less than a week after Facebook removed a "cause" page calling for a "Third Intifada,"the social networking website and co-founder Mark Zuckerberg were hit with a lawsuit seeking more than $1 billion in damages, AFP reported Saturday. The suit, which AFP acquired from technology blog TechCrunch, was filed
in the Washington DC Superior Court by Larry Klayman, a self-described "American citizen of Jewish origin" who is "active with matters concerning the security of Israel and all people." Klayman claimed that Facebook showed "negligence" bu not quickly responding the the calls to shut down the "Third Intifada" page. via jpost.com

Larry Klayman, a renowned American activist, former Justice Department prosecutor, former U.S. Senate candidate and book author, says he has sued both Facebook and founder Mark Zuckerberg for over $1 billion after the social networking giant failed to remove a page calling for a third intifada against Israel’s Jewish population swiftly enough.
The suit was filed yesterday in Washington by Klayman, himself of Jewish origin. The complaint is embedded below.
Klayman, who founded controversial law firm Judicial Watch as well as political advocacy group Freedom Watch, alleges that Zuckerberg and Facebook willfully kept a page calling for a third Palestinian intifada against Jews online to “further their revenues and the net worth” of the company. The page, which was removed on March 29 because, according to Facebook, it indeed made “direct calls for violence” in violation of its policies.
...
The removal of the page, which according to Klayman was “begrudgingly” ordered after increased pressure was exerted by himself, the Israeli government and organizations like the Anti-Defamation League, did not stop him from filing suit against the company.
The activist argues that damage has already been done, and that he fears for his life since he’s been “called a Zionist publicly by radical Palestinians and other such Arabic interests” and is “thus a target of this call to kill Jews” along with other prominent public figures.
The complaint alleges assault and negligence, gross negligence and recklessness on Facebook’s part. It reserves the right to be amended into a class action suit and prays for damages in excess of $1 billion, plus an award of attorneys fees and costs.
Can we call this the mother of all SLAPP suits? Heh.

...Seriously! Violent Intifada page Removed

Pity the folks in Washington's 7th District. Sadly their actions effect the rest of us

It's good to see these people have maintained their sense of proportion.

And since there is no overt threat of violence, this will remain on Facebook indefinitely.
No, this is not an April Fools Day joke.

Social Media Is TIME's Person Of The Year

At only 26 years old, Facebook’s founder and CEO becomes the youngest person to win this award since US pilot Charles Lindbergh in 1927.
ironically when Mark Zuckerberg and his company claim that Holocaust denial and threats against a Jewish state are political speech he has a lot in common with Charles Lindbergh.

Debbie saw this movie so you do not have to: The Social Network

Despite claims to the contrary, it’s no coincidence that Facebook chief Zuckerberg announced last week–to much fanfare on Oprah–that he was donating $100 million to the City of Newark schools.  The movie about how he created Facebook as a Harvard undergrad is an entirely negative, unsympathetic portrayal of the computer code writer, and he felt the need to do something to answer the hate it is bound to create for him.  Disregard reviews that say you’ll want to egg his house, then hug him afterward and help him clean it up.  You definitely won’t want to hug him or help him clean anything. If even a fraction of it is true, the guy’s a major scumbag. But that’s the key. Just how much of it is, indeed true?
I don't need to see this movie. I know exactly what the facebook staff is like.

Pakistan Petitions for Death of Mark Zuckerberg and other Facebook Staff - Jewish Internet Defense Force

Labels: » » » »

(The Register) Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg is being investigated by Pakistani police under a section of the penal code that makes blasphemy against Muhammad punishable by death.
of course facebook will be blackmailed like they always are. owning a global social network means you are submissive to global opinion. I have empathy for Zuckerberg, but his best bet is to sell the property and spin the technology development off for profit. this would end his uncomfortable position of being the moral police.
BBC Urdu reports — according to a Google Translation — that Pakistan's Deputy Attorney General has launched a criminal investigation against Zuckerberg and others in response to Facebook hosting a "Draw Muhammad" contest on its site late last month. On May 19, Pakistani authorities blocked access to Facebook over the contest, and this ban was lifted on May 31 after Facebook removed the page in Pakistan and other countries.
Asked to comment, a Facebook spokeswoman told us the company does not comment on legal matters.
Last month, according to English-language Pakistani newspaper The News International, a Pakistani High Court judge summoned the police after lawyer Muhammad Azhar Siddique filed an application for a First Information Report (FIR), claiming that the owners of Facebook had committed a heinous and serious crime under Section 295-C of the Pakistan Penal Code. In essence, an FIR launches a criminal investigation. But no charges have been filed.
According to the paper, Section 295-C of the penal code reads: "Use of derogatory remark etc, in respect of the Holy Prophet, whoever by words, either spoken or written, or by visible representation, or by any imputation, innuendo, or insinuation, directly or indirectly, defiles the sacred name of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) shall be punished with death, or imprisonment for life, and shall also be liable for fine."
So, peace be unto Muhammad. But not unto Mark Zuckerberg.
According to two reports — one at Boxcrack.net, a kind of citizen journalism site run by Privacy International, and another at Pro Pakistani, a Pakistani Telecom and IT news site that lifted the news from BBC Urdu — the Deputy Attorney General has indeed lodged an FIR against Zuckerberg, fellow co-founders Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes, and "Andy", the German woman who initiated the Draw Muhammad contest under a pseudonym.
According to Pro Paskistani, petitioner Muhammad Azhar Sidiqque said he's waiting for the police to contact Interpol about making arrangements for the arrest of Facebook's owners and "Andy". The site also says that the Deputy Attorney General told the High Court that Pakistan’s United Nations representative has asked to escalate the issue in the UN General Assembly.
