Former Mexican president Vicente Fox says Obama should keep his mouth shut on Israeli-Palestinian issue

Labels: » » » »
QUEBEC (CTV) — U.S. President Barack Obama should "stay quiet" rather than try to impose a solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, former Mexican President Vicente Fox said Sunday in Quebec City.
Fox lashed out at the Obama government's foreign policy upon his arrival in Quebec City for the 29th annual meeting of the InterAction Council.
The forum brings together former heads of state, which this year included former U.S. president Bill Clinton and former prime minister Jean Chretien.
The retired leaders will discuss the turmoil in the Arab world and its impact on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict during the forum, which runs from Sunday until Tuesday.
Fox, Mexico's president between 2000 and 2006, criticized Obama's recent comments favouring the creation of a Palestinian state based on 1967 borders.
"I think Obama should stay quiet and let the people of both nations decide their future," Fox told reporters shortly before the ceremonial opening of the InterAction Council.

Mexico was better under his leadership. His disrespect of U.S. borders is unfortunate, perhaps he should look into this specific issue of borders some more. It is nice to see him doing the right thing by Israel

France and Italy in call to close EU borders in wake of Arab protests

Nicolas Sarkozy and Silvio Berlusconi
Sarkozy_and_Berlusconi are demanding European deportation pacts with the countries of revolutionary north Africa to send migrants home.

Bedbug epidemic
spreads
to the United Nations

France and Italy have thrown down the gauntlet over Europe's system of passport-free travel, saying a crisis of immigration sparked by the Arab spring was calling into question the borderless regime enjoyed by more than 400 million people in 25 countries.Challenging one of the biggest achievements of European integration of recent decades, Nicolas Sarkozy and Silvio Berlusconi also launched a joint effort to stem immigration and demanded European deportation pacts with the countries of revolutionary north Africa to send new arrivals packing.
The French president and the Italian prime minister, at a summit in Rome, opted to pile the pressure on Brussels and the governments of the other 25 EU states, demanding an "in-depth revision" of European law regulating the passport-free travel that takes in almost all of the EU with the exception of Britain and Ireland.
Prompted by the influx to Italy of almost 30,000 immigrants, mainly from Tunisia, in recent months, the two leaders warned that the upheavals in north Africa "could swiftly become an out-and-out crisis capable of undermining the trust our fellow citizens place in the free circulation within the Schengen area".
The passport-free travel system known as the Schengen regime was agreed by a handful of countries in 1985 and put into practice in 1995. Since then it has been embraced by 22 EU countries as well as Norway, Switzerland and Iceland, but spurned by Britain and Ireland. It is widely seen, along with the euro single currency, as Europe's signature unification project of recent decades.
But like the euro, fighting its biggest crisis over the past year, the Schengen regime is being tested amid mounting populism and the renationalisation of politics across the EU.
In other setbacks to borderless Europe, Germany, France and other countries have been blocking the admission of Bulgaria and Romania to Schengen in recent months, while the arrival of thousands of Middle Eastern migrants in Greece has fed exasperation with Athens's inability to control the EU's southern border.
The Franco-Italian move, following weeks of bad-tempered exchanges between Paris and Rome over how to deal with the Tunisian influx, is the biggest threat yet to the Schengen regime.
"For the treaty to stay alive, it must be reformed," Sarkozy said. Berlusconi added: "We both believe that in exceptional circumstances there should be variations to the Schengen treaty."
They sent a joint letter to the European commission and European council chiefs, José Manuel Barroso and Herman Van Rompuy, urging proposals from Brussels and agreement on a new system at an EU summit of government heads in June.
The commission said it was drawing up new proposals, tinkering with the current system, to be unveiled next week. But it has resisted, with the support of most EU governments, intense Italian pressure to label the arrivals from north Africa an emergency.
Under European law the border-free regime can be suspended only for reasons of national security, routinely invoked in recent years by member states hosting major international sporting events such as the World Cup or the European football championships, where individual countries contend with a huge, one-off influx of foreigners.
Sarkozy and Berlusconi insisted the rules be changed to allow more restrictions on freedom of travel. A new deal was "indispensable", they said. The June summit should "examine the possibility of temporarily re-establishing internal frontier controls in case of exceptional difficulty in the management of the [EU's] common external frontiers".
This, however, would clearly not be in the interests of Italy, which fears an end to the hostilities in Libya could spark an even bigger exodus. In that event, the letter said, the EU should provide "mechanisms of specific solidarity" including the distribution of immigrants among member states.
This will prove extremely divisive and will be rejected by countries such as Germany and Sweden, which have much higher numbers of asylum seekers than Italy, less restrictive immigration policies, and little sympathy for Italy's plight.
The concerted Franco-Italian initiative also called for accords between the EU and north African countries on repatriating immigrants, a policy certain to spark outrage among human rights groups, the refugee lobby, and more liberal EU governments.
Promising strong support for the democratic revolutions sweeping the Maghreb and the Middle East, Sarkozy and Berlusconi added: "In exchange we have the right to expect from our partner countries a commitment to a rapid and efficacious co-operation with the European Union and its member states in fighting illegal immigration."
Tuesday's move followed weeks of feuding between Rome and Paris over the Tunisian exodus. Furious at the failure of other EU countries to "share the burden", the Italians granted visas to the immigrants enabling them to move elsewhere in the EU. The Germans and the Austrians complained. The Belgians accused Rome of "cheating" on the Schengen rulebook. The French government promptly closed a part of the border with Italy briefly, re-erecting passport controls to halt trains.
But Berlusconi and Sarkozy, seeking to curry favour with the strong far-right constituencies in both countries, sought to bury their differences by urging the rest of Europe to buy into their anti-immigration agenda.

It's About the Power Struggle

Labels: » » » » » » » »
The EU and virtually every developed country with falling birth rates have tried to use immigration to stay ahead of the curve. Immigration serves the interests of the left, giving them a new power base to work with that is hostile to the conservative order-- but it does not solve the underlying problems. Immigrants generally come in times of prosperity and begin leaving during a downturn. Since the economic downturn, Mexicans have been leaving the United States, and Turks have been leaving Germany. Migration follows economy. Few people move to countries where there are no jobs. And quite a few decide they no longer want to stay in them. Immigration is based on dreams of prosperity, socialism on inevitable decline. A socialist country will attract new immigrants so long as it has jobs, business opportunities and an improved standard of living. When it loses those things, even the natives will begin to flee.

Publicly Funded La Raza Group Expands

Labels: » » » » »

The influential Mexican La Raza group that’s received millions of federal tax dollars to promote its leftist, open-borders agenda has added several new branches to its growing network of community organizations dedicated to serving Latinos.
Among them is yet another public “charter” school that pushes a radical Chicano movement, known as “reconquista,” with a custom-designed curriculum financed by U.S. taxpayers. The plan is to conquer the American southwest, return it to Mexico and perform ethnic cleansing of Americans, Europeans, Africans and Asians.
The politically-connected, Washington D.C. group National Council of La Raza (NCLR) has helped further this agenda by expanding its operations nationwide with the generous help of Uncle Sam. This month the NCLR, which describes itself as the largest Latino civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States, announced the addition of seven affiliates to its network of 300 “community groups.” The new chapters are located in different parts of the country, including Minnesota, Maryland, Illinois, Michigan and Colorado.
Among them is a publicly-funded high school (“El Colegio”or The School) in Minneapolis with an innovative curriculum that focuses on ethnicity. “El Colegio” describes itself as a “Latino-focused” school that integrates experimental-based teaching strategies using Chicano, Mexican and Latino cultures and traditions. This month it became an official affiliate of the NCLR, which helps operate similar schools in other parts of the country.
Judicial Watch exposed this La Raza movement in American public education a few years ago in a special report focusing on a Southern California elementary school that specializes in bashing the U.S. and promoting the Chicano movement. That NCLR-backed school (Academias Semillas Del Pueblo) is a training ground for the Mexican reconquista agenda and is run by a Calexico-educated activist (Marcos Aguilar) who opposes racial integration and says Mexicans in the U.S. don't want to attend white schools or drink from white water fountains.
It may seem baffling that American tax dollars are wasted on such causes, but the explanation is rather simple. The NCLR is powerful and politically connected with leaders regularly attending congressional hearings and White House meetings. The group, which endorsed and campaigned for Obama in 2008, is also tight with the administration.
In fact, fact the president violated his own lobbyist ban to hire one of the NCLR’s top officials (Cecilia Munoz) as director of intergovernmental affairs. Munoz supervised all legislative and advocacy activities on the state and local levels and was heavily involved in the congressional immigration battles before Obama issued an “ethics waiver” to make her part of his administration.
Obama’s first Supreme Court appointee, Sonia Sotomayor, was also a member of the NCLR and the group was quick to thank the president for the “historic appointment,” which it called a “monumental day for Latinos.” No wonder, in its latest press release announcing new affiliates the NCLR points out that its “impact continues to grow on a daily basis.” via judicialwatch.org

WHAT IS RAZA
“La Raza” (The Race) is a broad term which refers to those whose ancestry is indigenous to the area of Mexico (or “Aztlan”). MEChA members refer to themselves as “La Raza” or “Raza,” but the term itself is used to indicate camaraderie among those in different organizations with the same objectives. There are a number of organizations who consider themselves to be La Raza.
The most visible of these groups are MEChA, The Brown Berets de Aztlan, OLA (Organization for the Liberation of Aztlan), La Raza Unida Party, and the “Nation of Aztlan” to name a few.  Although the activism of these organizations vary from somewhat radical to extremely radical, they share the same objectives, the “liberation of Aztlan.”  Each follows the Raza manifesto “El Plan de Aztlan (sometimes called “El Plan Espiritual de Aztlan”). The Nation of Aztlan, tied to La Voz de Aztlan disseminates the exact same propaganda that MEChA spreads including antisemitic propaganda. Believers in the Aztlan legend insist upon the indivisibility of “La Raza” and their common goals, one of them being the need to abolish the border between the U.S. and Mexico. There is a myriad of Raza college newspaper. Some are El Popo, Aztlan News, Chispas, Gente de Aztlan (UCLA), Voz Fronteriza (U.C. San Diego), La Voz Mestiza (U.C. Irvine) and La Voz Berkeley. It is not uncommon for the writers of these publications to refer to the U.S., as “AmeriKKKa.”
Rhetoric by some Chicano educators strongly suggest Communist or Socialist leanings. In May, 2000, more than 1,200 students gathered at UCLA for the seventh annual Raza Youth Conference, which the members say promotes higher education and recognition of the Aztlan culture. Sponsored by MEChA, the year’s theme was “Reclaiming Our Razas through education, resistance, and promoting the idea of remembering the historical struggles of Raza” said Erika Ramirez, co-chair of the conference. The conference drew students from 80 middle and high schools and community colleges; featured speeches by those actively involved with the Chicano community.
The keynote speaker was Antonia Darder, a professor of education and cultural studies at Claremont Graduate University and director of the Institute for Cultural Studies in Education, who received a standing ovation for her speech.
Darder described American capitalism and what she said were its impacts on racism and sexism. “I grew up in a capitalist society, a society that taught us that the greed of corporations control politics,” Darder said. “Capitalism is the root of domination. Racism and sexism exist because capitalism requires it.” Darder said a globalized economy forced smaller countries to give up their self-sufficiency, resulting in people migrating to the U.S. “We’re here because U.S. foreign policy in Latin America has forced us here,” she said.
The University of Oregon Chapter of MEChA hints at its communist sentiments by posting a picture of Cuba’s communist dictator Fidel Castro. On its web site, “La Voz de Aztlan” has an excerpt from a speech of February 7, 1997, by Fidel Castro who said “the United States should return to Mexico huge chunks of that country’s territories it acquired more than a century ago” La Voz de Aztlan, whom Antonio Villaraigosa refuses to repudiate, also disseminates antisemitic propaganda,
Apparently, these “Raza” cults are composed of people who unabashedly hate the United States and often support other groups and leaders who also hate America. Raza’s hatred of America is so intense, that most make bedfellows to anyone else who also hates America, like dictator Fidel Castro; murderer of his own people Sadam Hussain; and the women hating Taliban — and of course they sympathize with all Islamic Terrorists over the Israel/Palestine issue. Raza cults are the loudest and most insistent element of the immigration lobby in California. Inebriated with a sense of righteous victimhood, and entranced by myths of a heroic racial past, devotees of the Aztlan cults are rapidly extending their influence within California’s Hispanic population, particularly among students in the university system.
——————————-
In closing, they can all go straight to hell! If we are going to have our tax money go to provide for those that come here illegally, then we should have the right to charge Mexico an upkeep fee for every illegal in our country. We start at $20,000 thousand dollars per person (per year) and go up in price from there.

Young Mexican police chief seeking asylum in US

Labels: » »

Marisol Valles-Garcia, 20, made international headlines last year when she accepted the post as top law enforcement official of Praxedis G. Guerrero in October. The town had been without a police chief since her predecessor was shot to death in July 2009.
(FOX News) A young police chief who fled a violent Mexican border town is now seeking asylum in the United States, FoxNews.com has learned.
Garcia was granted a leave of absence from March 2-7 to travel to the U.S. for personal matters, but she failed to return as agreed, city officials said. The town's mayor removed her from the post on Monday.
Officials from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said Garcia is now seeking asylum in the United States following death threats she received in Mexico.
"Marisol Valles-Garcia is in the United States and she will have the opportunity to present the facts of her case before an impartial immigration judge," a statement to FoxNews.com from DHS officials read. "Absent a signed privacy waiver, there are no additional details."

, BUT THE BRITISH DON'T PANIC
UNLESS THEY ARE JEWS PROTECTING THEMSELVES

Libyan rebels have released a British special forces team who were detained when a mission to contact opponents of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi went wrong, it was revealed tonight.

The eight-strong group, who were escorting a junior diplomat, has now left the country bound for Malta on board HMS Cumberland.
...According to reports, guards challenged the SAS team when they arrived at an agricultural compound in the eastern city of Benghazi.
They were detained after a search of their bags revealed ammunition, explosives, maps and fake passports.

The BBC says the passports were from at least four different nationalities.
In Libya, there are presently one million refugees from sub-Saharan Africa whose ambition is to get in a boat to Italy. There isn’t a lot to stop them.
Democratic Republics have limitations and checks and balances. Borders are what keep these checks and balances from representing a larger area then can be represented fairly.
Do you remember the reason for the 1776 revolution? The idea was no taxation without representation. Obviously the revolution fell short, but we need to be still fighting for independence from those powers that think they know better then local representation.
I had a terrible education. I attended a school for emotionally disturbed teachers.
-Woody Allen

It always was about helping some one else's kids when we talk about our parents and teachers. Always about empathy for the children on the other side of the border.
Maybe the Brits should have sent James Bond (pictured here with an Aston-Martin). Maybe it wouldn't have helped.
A group of British agents from SAS and MI6, who traveled to Benghazi to meet with the Libyan rebels, were caught and sent back to England with their tails between their legs.
But here's the funniest part.
According to Guardian sources, the British intelligence and special forces unit were caught near the al-Khadra Farm Company, 18 miles (30km) south-west of Benghazi. A senior member of Benghazi's revolutionary council said: "They were carrying espionage equipment, reconnaissance equipment, multiple passports and weapons. This is no way to conduct yourself during an uprising.
"Gaddafi is bringing in thousands of mercenaries to kill us, most are using foreign passports and how do we know who these people are?
"They say they're British nationals and some of the passports they have are British. But the Israelis used British passports to kill that man in Dubai last year."
What, they want the Israelis to come to Benghazi to help them? Or do they fear we'll help Gadhafi? Heh.
With evidence lacking against Israel now the BBC points the finger at all Jews around the world

Of Balkans and Boomer Condemnation of Progeny

Labels: » » » » » » » » » » » »
Media_httpgraphics8ny_wacrp
According to Bismarck’s best-known maxim on Europe’s most troublesome region, the Balkans are not worth the bones of a single Pomeranian grenadier. Americans could be forgiven for harboring similar sentiments after the murder of two U.S. airmen in Germany by a Kosovar Muslim.

Remember Kosovo? Me neither. But it was big at the time, launched by Bill Clinton in the wake of his Monica difficulties: Make war, not love, as the boomers advise. So Clinton did — and without any pesky U.N. resolutions, or even the pretense of seeking them.
More Steyn:
Instead, he and Tony Blair and even Jacques Chirac just cried “Bombs away!” and got on with it. And the left didn’t mind at all — because, for a modern western nation, war is only legitimate if you have no conceivable national interest in whatever war you’re waging.
Unlike Iraq and all its supposed “blood for oil,” in Kosovo no one remembers why we went in, what the hell the point of it was, or which side were the good guys. (Answer: Neither.) The principal rationale advanced by Clinton and Blair was that there was no rationale. This was what they called “liberal interventionism”, which boils down to: The fact that we have no reason to get into it justifies our getting into it.
A decade on, Kosovo is a sorta sovereign state, and in Frankfurt a young airport employee is so grateful for what America did for his people that he guns down U.S. servicemen while yelling “Allahu akbar!”
The nations that built the modern world decided to outsource their future. In simple economic terms, the arithmetic is stark: In America, the boomers have condemned their shrunken progeny to the certainty of poorer, meaner lives.
In sociocultural terms, the transformation will be even greater. Bismarck, so shrewd and cynical about the backward Balkans, was also the father of the modern welfare state: When he introduced the old age pension, you had to be 65 to collect and Prussian life expectancy was 45.

Border police arrested eight residents of the Gilad Farm during the demolition of buildings there. According to the settlers, 13 residents were injured during the evacuation, as a result of police violence. The police deny using excessive force

The most amazing thing about this story is that it is not even being reported on Israel Radio. Perhaps that isn't so amazing. It's no secret that Israel Radio is totally Leftist and hates the revenants (what some of you call 'settlers').
Israel's border police - who are largely made up of what is so delicately called 'minorities' (Bedouin and Druze) - shot rubber bullets and tear gas at revenants at Gilad's Farm during a raid that took place at 4:00 am on Monday. Gilad's Farm is an outpost that overlooks Route 60, the main North-South road through Samaria. It is just north of Geva Binyamin and Kochav Yaakov.
Setters claimed that Border Police forces shot rubber bullets and tear gas at them during the demolition of three structures at the unauthorized outpost of Gilad Farm in Samaria on Monday.
According to police, eight settlers were arrested during the clashes that broke out when they entered the outpost in a pre-dawn raid. Settlers claimed that 12 people were bruised by rubber bullets.
Police said they responded only after stones were thrown at them and they understood that a number of settlers had knives and instruments which could be used for stabbing.
Settlers have called for an immediate investigation into the incident. Police said they operated according to the rules of engagement, but they did not respond to the specific charges.
MK Michael Ben Ari (National Union), who was at Gilad Farm, claimed that Border Police pushed him to the ground. He added that he retrieved a rubber bullet from the scene.
Here's video of the incident - decide for yourselves.
Let's go to the videotape.

And for those of you who question whether they really used rubber bullets, over at the Muqata, Joe Settler has pictures of people who were wounded that were taken by Jameel (who was there).
UPDATE 12:07 PM
Israel Radio reports on its 12:00 newscast that the police claim they used paint bullets and not rubber bullets.
DOWN WITH THE JUDEN RATS THAT ENABLED THIS

Border Police forces arrested the night (two) of eight residents of the Gilad Farm, the demolition of buildings there. Five of them were arrested on suspicion of holding a knife or spikes, and one was arrested on suspicion of throwing stones at security forces. Two other people were arrested on suspicion of logging trees. Among those arrested Even stranger to me, establishes outpost named for his brother Gilad, who was killed in a shooting.

According to the settlers , 13 residents were injured during the evacuation, as a result of police violence. Following the event, expected today roadblocks and demonstrations in the West Bank.

Police and security forces left the outpost, after three buildings were built illegally destroyed. Gilad Farm residents have expressed great anger on the scope of powers assigned to the demolition of buildings, and made serious complaints about the alleged use of violence by police against the settlers. They argue that few police officers also fired at close range with rubber bullets on local residents.

The settlers insist that have pictures of stun grenades and rubber bullets used against them, but police denied the allegations, saying that the settlers threw stones at people. "כוחות הביטחון הגיבו באמצעים לפי מדרג הפרות הסדר. ככלל, האמצעים בהם השתמשו הכוחות הם לא-קטלניים ונועדו לבלום את ההתפרעויות", נמסר. "Security forces responded to the means by level of disturbances. In general, the means used by forces they do not - meant to curb the deadly riots," it said.

"ראינו מה קורה שמשטר יורה על אזרחיו" "We saw what happens regime shoots on its citizens"

"זוהי הכרזת מלחמה עלינו", אומר בתגובה יהודה שמעון , מתושבי המאחז. "This is a declaration of war on us," says Yehuda Shimon response, residents of the outpost. "Midnight arrived enormous forces of over a thousand people to demolish three buildings. One of them is a soldier. What kind of message it now takes to choose who gives his body for the country? There are thousands of demolition orders for buildings of Arabs here in the region to be destroyed, such as Invalid mosque in the village of Burin, but the civil administration claims it has enough personnel. Apparently demolishing buildings of Jews who serve the state can allocate hundreds of fighters and use even by means of UAVs against us. אין ברירה, על התושבים ביישובים להתעורר בהקדם". There is no choice, residents in wake soon. "

Michael Ben-Ari MK (National Union) said that "only the Likud can shoot rubber bullets to sit down and continue to fight the Jews and destroy homes. בזמן שההתנתקות הביאה עלינו גראדים בבאר שבע, עסוקים נתניהו ואהרונוביץ' בחורבן ובפגיעה חסרי תקדים במתיישבים. While the disengagement brought us Grads Beer Sheva, busy Netanyahu Aharonovitch unprecedented destruction and compromising the settlers. מה שרבין ואולמרט לא עשו עושה ממשלת ימין". What Olmert, Rabin did not do right-wing government. "

Organization Women in Green said: "We protest strongly the use of rubber bullets by security forces against residents of the Gilad Farm. Bleating responsibility instead rests on Prime Minister Netanyahu, who must stop hiding Mahuer Defense Minister Ehud Barak. The end of the firing regimes on their citizens, we see countries around us. "

Vaad settlers of Samaria said: "Gilad Farm destruction and violence are acts of provocation in response to Ehud Barak and settlers to expropriate the Knesset demand from the construction permit granting authority and trying to rebuild his standing on the left, after learning his list is deleted the next election. Barak, like other enemies of the settlement will remain a footnote in history Jewish. "
