TORONTO – A Facebook event has been launched inviting people to walk their dogs outside an east-end mosque during Islamic prayer sessions.
The call to action was launched to protest a man being arrested while walking his English mastiff at an anti-Israel rally at Queen’s Park last Saturday.
The Facebook page encourages people to bring dogs “of all colours and breeds” to the Salahuddin mosque in the city’s east end on Sept. 14.
On Saturday, a Jewish man was arrested while his dog near a rally held outside Queens Park by an Islamic group marking Al-Quds Day, a yearly event calling for the destruction of Israel and the establishment of a Palestinian state.
Allan Einstoss, a Jew who opposes the Al-Quds doctrine, showed up at the rally with his big-yet-friendly English mastiff, Cupcake. After Einstoss was allegedly told by an Al-Quds demonstrator to keep the dog away, he claims to have been punched in the chest by another. When Einstoss pushed back, he was handcuffed and held by Toronto police.

Arrested for walking a dog?
"I was arrested at the rally for, "offending Islam" by walking in a PUBLIC park with my dog. Apparently, Muslims do not like dogs. I was warned by a few demonstrators not to go near them. Of course I ignored them and reminded them this is Canada, not Pakistan. Well I was assaulted and returned the favor in kind.
At that point I was jumped by four COPS, dragged off and hand cuffed. Oh my the police were so angry! They said I was, "insensitive" and "inciting a riot". 30 minutes later they cut me a big deal. No charges if I left. So I left. Imagine this happening in Canada? Walking a licensed dog on a leash at the park in front of our Provincial Legislature and being arrested for that simple act!"NB: This is a therapy dog. Works at hospitals.
now I know how to deal with such marches in the future. I'm always with a dog!
#Bono leaves message: A dog called #Hope // #ObamaEatsDogs
If Obama's slogan was HOPE... and he eats dogs... what do you think Obama would do with a dog named HOPE?U2 FRONTMAN Bono, on holiday in Israel with his family, has left a poetic note at the luxury Jerusalem Hotel where they were staying.
The internationally renowned singer left the message in the guest book of the King David Hotel, according to the website BuzzFeed.
He has been visiting Israel with his wife and two sons.
The note, on headed hotel paper says: “Hope is like a faithful dog” and is signed by Bono, Ali, Elijah and John. It also includes Bono’s sketch of a dog.
The letter says: “In Jerusalem, hope springs eternal.
"Hope is like a faithful dog, sometimes she runs ahead of me to check the future, to sniff it out and then I call to her: Hope, Hope, come here, and she comes to me. I pet her, she eats out of my hand and sometimes she stays behind, near some other hope maybe to sniff out whatever was. Then I call her my Despair. I call out to her. Here, my little Despair, come here and she comes and snuggles up, and again I call her Hope."
He signed, "With great thanks for great room in great hotel in great city, Bono."
Israeli newspaper Harretz reports that Bono was believed to be in Israel for a private visit, and did not hold any performances.
Huff-Watch: HuffPost's anti-Israel incitement: Dog execution edition
(Huff Watch) If you saw the following headline published near the top of one of the world's most-read "news" websites --- which enjoys preferential treatment at White House press conferences, and claims it is nonpartisan --- what would you think?
BBC is for the Dogs
The source of the report, Israel's Maariv newspaper, apologised for its headline and for any offence caused.
The head of the court, Yehoshua Levin, was quoted by Maariv as saying: "There is no basis for abuse of animals from the side of Jewish Halacha [law].''
In a statement, the court denied that a dog had been condemned.
A dog had entered the court and been removed, it said.
The story was reported in the Israeli and international press, including the BBC News website.
The original reports said that the dog entered the Jerusalem financial court several weeks ago and would not leave.
It was reported that the dog reminded a judge of a curse passed on a now deceased secular lawyer about 20 years ago, when judges bid his spirit to enter the body of a dog. The animal was said to have escaped before the sentence was carried out.

Obama's Dog Quarantined in Hawaii

Must be a problem with his long-form birth certificate or something.Woof!
Even if you're the dog of the president of the United States, you still need to follow the rules. As the Obama family slowly trickles into Hawaii for the holidays (the first lady and first daughters jetted there over the weekend, but the president remains in Washington until Congress wraps up its business), the first dog, who is making his first trip to the island, is subject to the state's quarantine program.Nice to see the Obamas flying there separately in order to save taxpayer money. Oh wait...
The policy requires a veterinary exam upon landing, and the dog can be released on the same day if previous requirements and documentation have been fulfilled, including a fee, a microchip for identification, a rabies test and two rabies shots in the dog's lifetime (including one within 90 days).
Fatwa against dogs and a solution. Hijab for your dog!
(UK) For a while now western nations have bent over backwards in which to accommodate the followers of Islam who happen to live within their borders. Anybody who objects to mosques, halal meat, Sharia law etc... is branded a racist and ostracised from decent society. One such example is how Manchester Airport in the north of England has set aside changing rooms for around 10,000 plus Muslims who they expect will undertake the Haj to Mecca. These changing rooms at Terminal One will enable these travellers to change into the simple white robes that Muslims clad themselves in while walking round Mecca. But the part which caught my eye is how spare robes will be made available for those travellers who feel that they have been contaminated by police dogs at the the airport. For years now all we have heard from protesting muslims is how they see our canine friends as unclean and that we have to respect their views by going nowhere near them with them.
despicable:
the biggest rise in dog fighting in over 100 years had been reported in the UK, surprisingly the idiots behind this despicable (and forbidden) act are all Islamic. get that the very people who protest about being near dogs are the very ones keeping them at home. (Which may help explain why 18 month old Zumer Ahmed was ripped apart by her uncles pitbull in the family kitchen.) Well returning to Manchester it seems that Arshad Hussain has just been found guilty of mistreating 4 pitbull types he kept in a lock-up at the back of the house. When the RSPCA raided his premises they found all the dogs sporting injuries consistent with dog fighting , he claims that they had been fighting amongst themselves. Yup that old excuse.
In light of this growth of this underground Islamic led dog fighting scene, the question needs to be asked is why do we continue to pander to this notion that we must respect Muslims by going nowhere near them with dogs when it transpires that they have no problems at all with dogs. I mean it didn't stop a number of Islamic idiots from trying to plant explosives inside a number of them the other-day in Iraq.
(Reuters) - A senior Iranian cleric has decreed dogs are “unclean” and should not be kept as pets — a move aimed at discouraging Western-style dog ownership in the Islamic state, a newspaper reported on Saturday
Muhammad, profit of Islam,
hated dogs too.
Every soldier of Allah
seeks to emulate Muhammad
because he was the perfect man,
uswa hasana, al insan al kamil……
Dogs are considered “unclean” under Islamic tradition but, while relatively rare in Iran, some people do keep them as pets.
By issuing a fatwa — a religious ruling — Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi has sent a clear message that this trend must stop.
“Friendship with dogs is a blind imitation of the West,” he was quoted as saying in Javan daily. “There are lots of people in the West who love their dogs more than their wives and children.”
Guard dogs and sheep dogs are considered acceptable under Islamic law but Iranians who carry dogs in their cars or take them to public parks can be stopped by police and fined.
The Koran does not explicitly prohibit contact with dogs, Shirazi said, but Islamic tradition showed it to be so. “We have lots of narrations in Islam that say dogs are unclean.”
The interpretation of religious rules on personal conduct is a constant source of debate and potential conflict in Iran which has been an Islamic republic since a revolution ousted the Western-backed Shah in 1979.
In a television interview last week, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad weighed in on the issue of the Islamic dress code, saying women who fail to cover their hair completely should not be harassed by the police.
Morality police are conducting their annual crackdown and women who reveal strands of hair are liable to be stopped in the streets for failing to respect the dress code, or “hijab.”
Ahmadinejad’s surprisingly liberal view was condemned by fellow hard-liner politicians and senior clerics “I wish he had not said those words about the hijab,” Grand Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati told the faithful during the week’s Friday prayers, in a rare criticism of the president.
“We are grappling with many problems including economic and political ones but the issues of morality and ethical security are among the important issues that cannot be ignored,” he said.
Tehran University has set up a thinktank “to investigate the problems related to hijab,” the representative of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to the university announced on Monday.

Jewish Canine Legion
Fatwa against dogs and a solution. Hijab for your dog! The Middle East has always been Dog Eat Dog, and Israel depends on their Canines. In Iran it is against the law to have a dog, but in Israel man's best friend is fighting against the tyranny of Mohammad's totalitarian genocidal ideology called Islam. Nothing more loyal then a dog. A fierce attack by a large dog on a Jewish property in Jerusalem, as seen in the following video, is just an exercise, but the fact that it is being held there is part of a long-time struggle for a Jewish presence on a Jewish-owned property.
(Israel National News) The Jewish Canine Legion in Israel has been active in helping Yitzchak Herskovitz access his property in Jerusalem after years of delays. Now that he finally has secured his legal rights to return to his property and Arab squatters have left, representatives of the organization remain on the land adjacent to his property, controlling the path that leads up to his house. The activists explain that they come to the house in order to make a Jewish presence felt until the police are willing do whatever is necessary to protect Herskovitz from the Arab squatters and others who, according to testimonies in the field, are threatening his life and the free access to his home. The Jewish Canine Legion is considering whether to set up a branch on the property not only to service Herskovitz's security needs but also to help train others on Jewish communities in southern Jerusalem and in the Gush Etzion Bloc. The unit reports that its dogs have prevented eight infiltrations this year into Elazar, in Gush Etzion, less than 10 minutes south of Jerusalem.
my dog arrested for being off leash
I bike in Poughkeepsie NY. I go to Vassar college to the farm and bike with my Labrador Retriever (she's faster then me on the offroad). there is a sign that says "no biking". I take that into consideration. I figure it is one of those slippery slope arguments. it doesn't specify the distance that the sign applies me to. I don't go within five feet of the sign. just in case they arrest me. I have my argument already prepared

no dog's off the leash

links to a MySpace GraffitiWall DrawingI got chased by security at Vassar farm tonight for having my dog off my leash. There is no place in this damn town for a dog to run. My mother said Vassar farm allowed it because they run a communal farm,,, I even saw police letting their dogs of the leash. I'm like mom is this going to be like the leftist re-constructionist synagogue with the female rabbi that hates men? (Montclair New Jersey's B'nai Keshet's Rabbi "Joy" wasn't a community leader so now she is often seen doing commentary on PBS. She was horrible and it was always about her career) Mom is always a community believer. She said, "these are nice people and letting Thisbie (my dog) off the leash is fine". So I took her word for it, but some dude shouted at me... "hey you can't let your dog off the leash and grabbed my dog". I'm like let my dog go and he does let my dog go... then he said hey come over here and I'm like,"no sir.., and bye!" (because I thought it was some kind of violent dude... I hate the alpha male types like Rudy Giuliani as much as I hate the feminists). Me and my dog off the leash take off about three quarters of a mile. I'm riding a bike and Thisbie is running as fast as she could. He starts chasing in a car. Thisbie and I duck into a swamp and headlights kept on going by for about an hour till eventually they went away. He tried to get his buddy to wait for us at the gate, but eventually they gave up. While in the swamp behind a residence, a family of raccoons came up to me and my dog and looked at us curiously. I think we were hiding in their hole. Thisbie looked at me startled. I was terrified that Thisbie would start barking. Usually she chases raccoons. I started telling my dog to be quiet. Amazingly my dog is very intelligent and loyal to the end. She kept quiet while the family of raccoons went into their hole. The raccoons were quite friendly, but noisy and I was worried they would blow our cover. Keep in mind the headlights kept on going by. Thisbie and I ran through about fifty yards of mud and swamp before we got to the road and booked. We got away scott free, but unfortunately Thisbie and I will never be able to go back now, or if we do I have to keep her on the leash and she likes to chase the deer. We will have to go to Springside and hope that mean witch doesn't scream at us... people are such rule fascists. I'm a conservative, but I believe that we should be as liberal as we can with each other. Most people let their dogs off the leash in the woods, that is why people bring their dogs to Vassar farm and not some other park. My poor dog lives to chase the deer, and she never even hurts the deer because she isn't fast enough. (Sigh)... that guy was such a jerk. He was being arbitrary with the law. How is it the police can come and let their dog off the leash and I can't? Police have to obey the law too.
R.I.P. Trembles the Wonder Cat that Cuddled Canines
I feel like whatever I touch and control will come to doom. Like Trembles the wonder cat; that was friendly and giving and always good for a cuddle with any Canine.... the best friend I ever had... crushed beneath an automobile. I have a huge amount of guilt for this kitty. Sara my girl from Madison county New York was at my house for a Honeymoon... Trembles came into my room for a cuddle..., but Sara and I were smoking something that was given to us upstate. Neither one of us had used any vice for a year and half... and then I was punished like something of biblical proportions. I kicked "Trembles" out of the room because Sara was uncomfortable with sexual activity with the animals... I didn't think it was an unfair request to be against bestiality so I put the kitty outside my door and that was the last I heard of him. I awoke went downstairs... my brother had a smirk on his face. Probably jealous that I had gotten a little action and was feeling vengeful. I went to make some coffee, and felt quite satisfied... and happy for once in a lifetime.... only to be told that my best friend had met his end. I went upstairs to find that my son's facebook fake account had been disabled. I tried to be angry about the facebook account to ignore the pain of losing my best friend. I felt empty inside... and it isn't because of my relationship that was lost with 400 people I don't really know. I feel empty inside because anything good that happens to me is always short lived.
