(creeping sharia) And the slow march of Islam and sharia law across the globe continues year after year. The media and Obama ridiculed Honduras for upholding its constitution, calling it a coup. Yet when real coups occur in Africa and the Middle East – resulting in sharia – there is silence if not outright approval. via AFP: Islamists, Al-Qaeda gain ground in troubled Mali.Mali was already a Muslim country, but it was an ally to the United States and we have had great relations with them. Will that last?
As Bamako braced for the bite of diplomatic, economic and financial sanctions, armed Islamists began imposing Sharia law in towns where they had taken control alongside Al-Qaeda fighters. The Islamists had been fighting with the Tuareg, despite having different objectives, but on Monday they chased their erstwhile allies out of the fabled city Timbuktu, flanked by the notorious Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) leader, Mokhtar Belmokhtar.
“Timbuktu has passed its first night under Sharia, everything is calm in town,” civil servant Saliou Thiam told AFP by telephone from the ancient trading city from where Islam was once spread through Africa.City residents reported women were being ordered to wear veils and stop wearing trousers. The fighting in northern Mali began in mid-January by the Azawad National Liberation Movement (MNLA), which wants independence for its homeland in the northern triangle of the bow-tie shaped nation. The Islamist Ansar Dine wants to implement Sharia law in the mostly Muslim but secular state.Asar Dine is under the command of Iyad Ag Ghaly, who played key roles in the two previous Tuareg rebellions in the 1990s and 2007-9. He has since taken up the Islamist cause, distancing himself from Tuareg nationalism and has developed links with AQIM.In Timbuktu on Monday, Ghaly and his fighters “took the city, chased away the people from MNLA who were there, burned the MNLA flag and put their own flag up at the military camp,” said cameraman Moussa Haidara, who filmed the events. Will Obama enter this fray (with your taxes) or is everything halal now that the implementation of sharia is underway?

133 states support Israeli proposal at UN
(ynetnews.com) UN General Assembly members vote in favor of proposal promoting developing nations' access to farming technology. A majority comprised of 133 states voted at the United Nations General Assembly Friday in favor of an Israeli proposal to make farming technology more accessible to developing African nations. Arab countries, who opposed the measure for political reasons, led a group of 35 nations who abstained from the vote.
The measure proposed by the Jewish state is expected to aid the Arab world among other regions, and is in line with the UN policy to eradiate hunger and poverty.
Iraq expressed objection to the proposal on behalf the Arab states, claiming that Israel is exploiting the developing world's needs to make political gains and to mask "illegal and destructive" policies. Nevertheless, the Arab states did not vote against the measure.
Israeli Ambassador to the UN Ron Prosor thanked the General Assembly members for backing the proposal, noting that the support indicates international recognition of Israel's contribution to the world, particularly in the technology field.
The diplomat accused the Arab nations of attempting to sabotage the initiative solely due the fact that it was submitted by Israel. He claimed that while Israel acts to promote progress and technology, the opposing nations make efforts to preserve "rhetoric and ignorance."
Some 75% of the world population lives in poverty and depends on agriculture for survival. The Israeli proposal aims to empower women in rural areas, promote food security and farmer education, and slow down the effects of climate change.
Google tells Black Ladies to Bend Over for Islam
I was at Elder of Ziyon's blog and clicked next on the blogger menu and Google pushes you to a left wing Muslim blog... and this passage about how a black slave in Arabia during Mohammad's time came to Islam:
So they accused me of stealing it and started searching me and even searched my private parts.' The slave girl further said, 'By Allah! While I was standing (in that state) with those people, the same kite passed by them and dropped the red scarf and it fell amongst them. I told them, "This is what you accused me of and I was innocent and now this is it."' 'Aisha added: 'That slave girl came to Allah's Apostle and embraced Islam.
via dunner99.blogspot.com and image via Dada Dreams , KingKong21 and freturSo what am I supposed to assume? A culture that had black slaves accused their woman of things she didn't do and as a result she became submissive to Allah who tells her to be even more submissive to men.
U.S. and Allies Seek a Refuge for Qaddafi
...wait.... if the U.K. freed the terrorist who blew up Pan Am Flight 103... it would seem that we also need to arrest some U.K. citizens. Are we going to really hold third world dictators accountable? How about Mubarak for the crimes he did against Israel in the war before the PIECE Agreement? Why the double standard?
The Obama administration has begun seeking a country, most likely in Africa, that might be willing to provide shelter to Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi if he were forced out of Libya, even as a new wave of intelligence reports suggest that no rebel leader has emerged as a credible successor to the Libyan dictator.
The intense search for a country to accept Colonel Qaddafi has been conducted quietly by the United States and its allies, even though the Libyan leader has shown defiance in recent days, declaring that he has no intention of yielding to demands that he leave his country, and intensifying his bombardment of the rebel city of Misurata.About half of the countries in Africa have not signed or ratified the Rome Statute, which requires nations to abide by commands from the international court. (The United States has also not ratified the statute, because of concerns about the potential indictment of its soldiers or intelligence agents.) Italy’s foreign minister, Franco Frattini, suggested late last month that several African countries could offer Colonel Qaddafi a haven, but he did not identify them.
The effort is complicated by the likelihood that he would be indicted by the International Criminal Court in The Hague for the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Scotland in 1988, and atrocities inside Libya.
One possibility, according to three administration officials, is to find a country that is not a signatory to the treaty that requires countries to turn over anyone under indictment for trial by the court, perhaps giving Colonel Qaddafi an incentive to abandon his stronghold in Tripoli.
The move by the United States to find a haven for Colonel Qaddafi may help explain how the White House is trying to enforce President Obama’s declaration that the Libyan leader must leave the country but without violating Mr. Obama’s refusal to put troops on the ground.
The United Nations Security Council has authorized military strikes to protect the Libyan population, but not to oust the leadership. But Mr. Obama and the leaders of Britain and France, among others, have declared that to be their goals, apart from the military campaign.
“We learned some lessons from Iraq, and one of the biggest is that Libyans have to be responsible for regime change, not us,” one senior administration official said on Saturday. “What we’re simply trying to do is find some peaceful way to organize an exit, if the opportunity arises.”

Beta Israel-Ethiopia PBS - Where are the Ten Lost Tribes?
In the latter part of the twelfth century, a legend appeared which persisted for several centuries and reached Egypt, Palestine and Europe. According to this legend, a Christian priest named Prester John ruled as monarch over a vast and wealthy Christian Empire. According to many traditions, Ethiopia was the land of the powerful Prester John's kingdom, as well as the home of the ten lost tribes. Persistent rumor had it that these African Israelite kingdoms were at constant war with Prester John, and that their armies were advancing on Rome.
Who are these African-Jewish tribesmen so central to the Prester John legend? These are the Ethiopian Jews known both as Falashas, the Amharic word for landless, wandering Jews, and as Beta Israel, the house of Israel. In Ethiopia, they engaged primarily in agriculture, but were known also for their exquisite crafts and jewelry. Today, most of the Beta Israel live in the state of Israel. In the 1970's and 80's, the Israeli government airlifted thousands of Ethiopian Jews to Israel, rescuing them from political and economic distress.
According to one tradition, the Ethiopian Jews are the descendants of one of the ten tribes, as their religion is an ancient form of biblical Judaism. Their religious practices are prescribed by the Orit, the Torah translated into their Gez dialect. They possess none of the post-biblical laws. Over the centuries, the Beta Israel have been connected with the tribe of Dan. This association has eased the process of their return to the state of Israel in recent times. via ethiopianrestaurant.com
Yishai publicly slams Amsalem; MK appointed bodyguard
(image of Amsalem via davidvaaknin.blogspot.com) (haaretz) Interior Minister Eli Yishai said that many Israeli women have been raped by migrant workers “but do not complain out of fear of being stigmatized as having contracted AIDS. (jpost.com)Yishai publicly slams Amsalem; MK appointed bodyguard (By JONAH MANDEL)11/25/2010 21:49 Shas newspaper compares maverick lawmaker to Amalek; lawyer files complaint on threats, incitement to violence appearing in newspaper. In his first public statements on the maelstrom raging in Shas around MK Rabbi Haim Amsalem, party chairman Eli Yishai spent an hour on Thursday lashing out against the lawmaker. Amsalem is refusing to resign from the Knesset, despite the demands of the party’s spiritual leadership. RELATED: (Shas's Torah Sages publish letter slamming Amsalem)(Amsalem defies Ovadia Yosef’s order to quit Knesset)(jpost)“Nobody knew who he was a minute before he joined Shas,” Yishai said in an interview with Radio Kol Berama, which is affiliated with Shas.As for the possibility of Amsalem forming a new political party, Yishai said that “without a rabbinical council of leaders behind him, not even his wife would vote for him.” Amsalem was recently officially ousted from the party for expressing opinions such as that only a select minority should dedicate their lives to Torah scholarship, while the others should combine work with study; that non-Jews in Israel from the former Soviet Union with Jewish roots should be provided an easier way into converting to Judaism; that everyone should acquire the basic skills of mathematics and a foreign language, as provided in the state’s core curriculum; and that Sephardic Judaism should not bow its head before the Ashkenazi Lithuanian haredi leadership, which Amsalem says Shas is doing in its stances on matters of religion and education. Yishai also denied Amsalem’s assertion that he and others prevented the MK from meeting with Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, head of the Shas Council of Torah Sages, in order to truthfully present his stances on Torah scholarship, employment, secular studies and conversions. “There wasn’t even one time that Amsalem wanted to meet with him and he couldn’t,” Yishai said, and added that recently “Yosef himself told his secretary he doesn’t want to meet with Amsalem, since he doesn’t listen to him and distorts his opinion.” Amsalem did not respond to Yishai’s interview. Earlier on Thursday, Shas newspaper Yom Leyom took the hostilities against Amsalem to new heights, comparing the lawmaker to Amalek. The front page of the weekly paper, as well as much of a supplement, were dedicated to Amsalem, the Shas Council of Torah Sages’s Monday decision, and elaborations on the “sinful ways” of the MK. “We demand of Mr. Haim Amsalem by the law of Torah to return his mandate to Shas,” the four-man body of senior Sephardi rabbis had written in their edict. “If he doesn’t do so, he is a thief in broad daylight... And we call on all of those who care about the Torah to keep far away from him and his strange and heretical opinions.” A wealth of quotes from the council’s decision condemning Amsalem, strongly worded by council head Yosef, were quoted and analyzed by various writers throughout the newspaper. But Ron Halevy, writing in the supplement, outdid all others in comparing Amsalem to a biblical-era foe whom Jews are ordered to eradicate. Writing about the “vast damage” that Amsalem’s “empty claims” have caused, Halevy wrote that “with arrogance and boastfulness, that man did the deed of Amalek who the Torah orders us to wipe out his memory, ‘who met thee by the way.’”The verse from Deuteronomy continues, “and smote the hindmost of thee.” The Knesset’s master of arms on Thursday ordered a bodyguard to accompany Amsalem at all times. Amsalem’s office said that “the incitement in wall posters and newspapers that are tantamount to wall posters is very severe. The comparison to Amalek has but one meaning that is clear and dangerous. This is certainly not the way of Torah.” Sources close to Amsalem were undecided on what they would do in response to the alleged incitement, but Idan Abuhav, a private attorney, decided on his own to both file a complaint with the Tel Aviv police about threats and incitement to violence, as well as write a letter to State Attorney Moshe Lador and Attorney-General Yehuda Weinstein asking that they order a criminal investigation into the implicit incitement to violence in the newspaper. “We secular folk cannot sit on the sidelines and observe how a haredi MK with an agenda of bringing the publics closer to one another, encouraging haredim to join the workforce and study core curriculum subjects, will be the victim of combined attack from all sides,” Abuhav told The Jerusalem Post. Abuhav stressed that his complaint was not against the council and its harshly worded decision, nor against Shas, and noted his good working relations with some of the party’s other members. This is only against the statements in Yom Leyom that contain violent incitement, he said. “We’ve already seen a public figure [prime minister Yitzhak Rabin] here murdered in part due to talk and an atmosphere created. In this case we should be all the more cautious, and not let every bully say what they want,” Abuhav said.
(mechon-mamre.org) The ambush by Amalek: Exodus 17:8-16
At the time of the exodus, the Amalekites has moved out of their traditional transjordan territory into the Negev just west of Petra: Numbers 13:29
Deuteronomy 25:17-19 Amalekites were a tribe had their origin within the Edomites, being descendants of Esau. They are often associated with Edom, living in the same area as Edom. Their traditional territory is transjordan between Babylon and the gulf of Aqaba.
When American author and Israel expert Jeffrey Goldberg recently asked a Netanyahu confidant to explain this fixation, he simply replied: "Think Amalek." This is the Jewish concept that forms a potentially disastrous parallel to the Islamic Haqqani school — a pair of mirror-image concepts that could spell war. In a biblical context, Amalek was a descendant of Esau who, with his tribal warriors from Canaan, launched a treacherous and unprovoked attack on the Hebrews as they were traveling to the Holy Land, Eretz Israel. In a broader sense, the term Amalek refers to the existential threat to Judaism at all times, under all circumstances and by all enemies. The Torah, Devarim 25, Fifth Book of Moses, reads: "Remember what Amalek did to you on your journey, after you left Egypt–how, undeterred by fear of God, he surprised you on the march, when you were famished and weary, and cut down all the stragglers in your rear."
Accusation of Amalek No Jewish generation is permitted to forget the conflict with Amalek, because Amalek embodies the intrinsically evil and destructive. Fighting Amalek is the duty of every devout Jew, a "mitzvah aseh" or commandment of action. According to some interpretations of ancient scripture, this mitzvah is more far-reaching, namely a commandment to eliminate the original enemies of the Jews.Rabbis like Bibi Netanyahu's grandfather taught, and continue to teach today, that Jews are forced to combat the Amalekites, who are constantly, as Goldberg puts it, "reappearing in new forms": the soldiers of Nebuchadnezzar and of the Spanish Grand Inquisitor Tomás de Torquemada, Adolf Hitler's thugs, and now the Iranian hardliners ,who are vowing to destroy Israel, together with their president, Ahmadinejad. Those who, like Netanyahu, see Iran's nuclear program as Amalek's arsenal of weapons, are not just entitled, but are in fact obligated, to take preventive measures to destroy it. According to Jewish apocalyptic constructs, a Jewish state would cease to exist after a possible Iranian nuclear first strike. In other words, it is better to attack first in the case of doubt. The notion that Iran, if it were to use nuclear weapons, would be acting suicidally and would see its government and hundreds of thousands of innocent people wiped out in the inevitable counter-attack is irrelevant. In fact, say the anti-Amalekites, Ahmadinejad literally yearns for such an inferno, because it would pave the way for the return of the Mahdi in the resulting end-time scenario. The Israelis reject as naïve the idea that Ahmadinejad is "merely" a populist and, with his nuclear program, could "only" be pursuing tactical goals like the regional strengthening of Iran to bring it to the same level as Israel, a nuclear power. But the signs are currently pointing to stormy weather ahead: to Haqqani versus Anti-Amalek, and to a showdown between the unlike twins.via euro-med.dk
Some of these people's ancesters might of been Jews and Hebrews. We know that about the Palestinians as well.

ADL, AJC lashed out against a few honest rabbis who barred Bnei Brak residents from renting apartments to African illegals.
The ADL’s charge of racism is ludicrous. The rabbis did not ban apartment rental to Ethiopians, despite all reservations about their Jewishness. The issue is clearly and only African illegals which enter Israel in ever-increasing numbers despite Netanyahu’s promises to stop their infiltration.
The illegals are attracted to Jewish religious neighborhoods by low apartment prices and black market economy. We must laud the rabbis who have the guts to oppose the alien invasion.
Judaism is not genetic. Israel immigrates Jews. That is the point of a Jewish homeland. A better solution is to help these people in their own countries if their governments let Israel. If the governments are hostile then moving their population to Israel when they are not Jewish is not Israel's role. How black do we want to be?
without borders there are no Democratic Republics and you have tyranny of the few. When the Chess board has no borders all that is left is the color of the pieces and their strength rank. All other attributes are lost. Plato was no fool when it comes to unrestrained Democracy. The African problem is not Israel’s. A billion Africans would be happy to move into Israel, and the government’s policy toward illegal immigrants invites them. About 9,000 Africans have crossed illegally into Israel, with more coming daily. The government announced it would deport them to Egypt, but failed to do so for fear of the Western media. The same media and human rights groups show little concern over the refugees’ treatment in African countries, but Jews are supposed to be nice and welcome the Africans.
Kibbutzim and human rights groups in Israel perpetuate the crime by employing and subsidizing illegal immigrants, who are criminals. Kibbutzim may stop such practice soon as the Africans, incited by leftist activists, demand the minimum wage even though Palestinian illegals work for a fraction of it.
Sensitive Jews send massive amounts of clothes, food, medicine, and even money to African illegals even though many Israeli Jews are in dire need of help. Helping fellow Jews is xenophobic and outdated; aiding African illegals is chic. Tel Aviv municipality is a chic municipality, and so it filled public bomb shelters with Africans instead of sending them back to the road. What if Jews need to use those shelters?
Any welfare program sends ripples of systemic distortion through society. American blacks who receive abundant welfare don’t want to work. Sub-Saharan Africans bred to unmanageable numbers on international welfare and now demand still more of it to survive. Jewish sympathy for the criminals who entered our country illegally produces a similarly far-reaching result: as the news of good treatment by stupid Jews spreads to Africa, more illegals stream into Israel. They are not refugees: even those from Darfur were already relatively safe in Egypt, and most Africans enter Israel illegally for plain economic reasons.
The burden they impose on Israel is disproportional. Though Israel harbors 200,000 migrant laborers, about half of them illegal, they at least have some skills; the Africans don’t. Unlike most other migrants, Africans come in families and breed quickly, imposing considerable costs on the impoverished Jewish health-care system. (Even if it were rich, why should we pay for them?)
The Africans are anything but loyal Jews. Many of them are Christians. They come from countries which lack diplomatic relations with Israel, and so they are indoctrinated with anti-Zionist propaganda. Their culture is as far from Jewish as one can imagine. Israel cannot assimilate Ethiopian “Jews,” and other Africans who don’t even pretend to be Jewish.
Israel is wrong to place the blame on Egypt. Sinai is huge, and Egyptian police there really cannot intercept all the migrants; regular shootings of migrants show that the Egyptians are trying to do their job. It is Israel’s job to guard its border with Egypt. There are many ways to do so. Bedouin can be employed for hunting the infiltrators. Mobile units of Border Police can search for the migrants and deport them on-the-spot, rather than delivering them to prisons or bus stops.
Those who are already in Israel can be deported to Egypt—or better still, to Gaza. The place is full of UNRWA refugee camps, so let them deal with the Africans. If Hamas deports them to Egypt, fine. If not, they are Hamas’ problem.
Israeli soldiers arrested nearly 35 African immigrants who managed to infiltrate into Israel through three border points in the center of Sinai and south of the Kerem Shalom (Karem Abu Salem) crossing. The Israeli Army sent an official notification to Egypt informing them that the arrested immigrants are from different African nationalities; 20 Ethiopians, 11 Eritreans and 4 Sudanese.
In related news, a Sudanese immigrant died of wounds sustained earlier while attempting to infiltrate into Israel; three other immigrants were wounded and were moved to an Egyptian hospital.
Furthermore, Egyptian security sources claimed uncovering nine tunnels along the border with Gaza. The tunnels were located in the Salah Ed Deen border area; no goods or persons were found in the tunnels.
Egypt uncovered at least 570 tunnels since the beginning of this year, additional 15 tunnels meant for smuggling cars were also located and destroyed.

Obama easing restrictions on child soldiers?
On Monday, the Obama administration waived sections of a law meant to prevent the recruitment of child soldiers in Africa, paving the way for new military cooperation with four countries with poor human rights records -- despite their use of underage troops.

"I hereby determine that it is in the national interest of the United States to waive the application to Chad, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Sudan, and Yemen of the prohibition in section 404(a) of the [Child Service Prevention Act]," President
Obama wrote in a memorandum to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
In 2008, President George W. Bush signed the law, which
prohibits U.S. military education and training, foreign military financing,
and other defense-related assistance to countries that actively recruit troops
under the age of 18. Countries are designated as violators if the State
Department's annual Trafficking in Persons report identifies them as recruiting child
soldiers.
The original bill was
actually sponsored by then Senator, now Vice President Joseph Biden. The only countries where the restrictions under this law are still in place are now Burma and Somalia.
The only reason provided in the memorandum was that Obama determined it was in the "national interest" to waive the law for those four countries.
