(CARL)'Moderate' 'Palestinian' President Mahmoud Abbas Abu Mazen is running around telling anyone who will listen that Hamas 'Prime Minister' Ismail Haniyeh is willing to make peace with Israel. But at a rally earlier this month marking the 24th anniversary of the founding of Hamas, Haniyeh told a much different story.
At a ceremony marking the 24th anniversary of the founding of Hamas, Hamas leader in the Gaza Strip Ismail Haniyeh said that Hamas may work for the "interim objective of liberation of Gaza, the West Bank, or Jerusalem," but that this "interim objective" and "reconciliation" with Fatah will not change Hamas' long-term "strategic" goal of eliminating all of Israel:Let's go to the videotape.

In his speech, Haniyeh also promised that Hamas will "lead Intifada after Intifada until we liberate Palestine - all of Palestine, Allah willing. Allah Akbar and praise Allah."
They're just so flexible, aren't they?
But even Fatah has not yet given up on its 'phased plan' to get rid of Israel. And it probably never will.
Let's go to the videotape.

Haniyeh: Our goal remains the destruction of Israel

It's just so frustrating. The idea that Fatah is for peace is a joke... but since we accepted that (even though Oslo has long since been voided)... now the opposition to the Jews is pushing the idea that Hamas is our peace partner too.
