The State Department just issued a press release stating that Secretary of State John Kerry and First Lady Michelle Obama will be honoring Samira Ibrahim with an "International Women of Courage Award." Interestingly, Samira is a Hitler-quoting anti-Semite who says she wants to see America burn.

The Weekly Standard--On Friday March 8, Michelle Obama will join John Kerry at a special ceremony at the State Department to present ten women the Secretary of State’s International Women of Courage Award. The award, says the press release, is given to “women around the globe who have shown exceptional courage and leadership in advocating for women’s rights and empowerment, often at great personal risk.”
Five of these awards are being given to women from Muslim-majority countries, underscoring the unique plight of women in those countries. The only problem is that one of the women to be recognized is an anti-Semite and supports the 9/11 attacks on the United States.
Samira Ibrahim, as the State Department’s profile describes her, “was among seven women subjected by the Egyptian military to forced virginity tests in March 2011.” The press release further notes that Samira “was arrested while in high school for writing a paper that criticized Arab leaders’ insincere support to the Palestinian cause.” Apparently, the State Department is unaware of her other convictions.
On Twitter, Ibrahim is quite blunt regarding her views. On July 18 of last year, after five Israeli tourists and a Bulgarian bus driver were killed a suicide bombing attack, Ibrahim jubilantly tweeted: “An explosion on a bus carrying Israelis in Burgas airport in Bulgaria on the Black Sea. Today is a very sweet day with a lot of very sweet news.”
Ibrahim frequently uses Twitter to air her anti-Semitic views. Last August 4, commenting on demonstrations in Saudi Arabia, she described the ruling Al Saud family as “dirtier than the Jews.” Seventeen days later she tweeted in reference to Adolf Hitler: “I have discovered with the passage of days, that no act contrary to morality, no crime against society, takes place, except with the Jews having a hand in it. Hitler.”
Ibrahim holds other repellent views as well. As a mob was attacking the United States embassy in Cairo on the eleventh anniversary of 9/11, pulling down the American flag and raising the flag of Al Qaeda, Ibrahim wrote on twitter: “Today is the anniversary of 9/11. May every year come with America burning.” Possibly fearing the consequences of her tweet, she deleted it a couple of hours later, but not before a screen shot was saved by an Egyptian activist.
Just today, apparently after having warned that her vicious tweets might cause her trouble during her visit to the U.S., she has written on twitter: “My account has been previously stolen and any tweet on racism and hatred is not me.” However, in the past she never made any mention of her account being “stolen.” The record of her anti-Semitic tweets is still available online.
The decision to honor Ibrahim reflects poorly on the State Department, which is either incapable of doing the minimum amount of research required to find out who she is, or does not care that the secretary of state and First Lady are about to honor an anti-Semite who longs for violence against Americans. It’s understandable that now with Islamists having come to the fore after all the hope that the Egyptian uprising inspired, American policymakers are looking for the good guys, real liberal activists that deserve U.S. support. "The Lid": Obama's Secret Negotiations With Iran Led by Valerie Jarrett

Secret or out in the open, any negotiations with Iran regarding their nuclear program are as delicate as they are important.   Obviously they must be handled by a very experienced diplomatic negotiator ..well not according to this President.
Israeli Newspaper Yediot Ahranot published in their Print edition today, that it is friend of Obama , former slumlord, and friend of the radical Islamist community Valerie Jarrett who is the president's secret envoy to Iran.
You may remember the reports about Jarret's last foray into foreign policy, she tried to convince Obama NOT to approve the raid on Bin Laden.
Ask yourself this, do you really want "re-hire" as commander-in-chief a person that sends a former slumlord with no diplomatic experience to negotiate with Iran about its Nuclear Program?

Obama’s Woman in Tehran Meet Valerie Jarrett – Obama’s secret envoy to talks with Iran

Valerie Jarrett, senior advisor to President Barack Obama, is the key figure in the secret contacts conducted by the White House with the Iranian government. According to senior sources in Israel, the attorney from Chicago serves as the American president’s personal envoy for contacts with representatives of the spiritual leader Khamenei.
Jarrett, a close friend of Michelle Obama, is a central figure among the advisors to the president. She was born in the city of Shiraz in Iran to parents who were sent on an agricultural mission.
On October 21 the New York Times claimed that the American administration had secret contacts with Iran with the goal of opening direct talks immediately after the presidential elections in the US. A spokesman for the US National Security Council denied that there was any agreement between the Americans and the Iranians for direct talks or of any meeting after the elections, however, the next day senior officials in the administration confirmed that talks existed through a secret channel. They claimed, however, that no meeting was set between the sides.
The American administration made great efforts to minimize the contacts because central countries to the negotiations, like Russia, were not partners to the secret talks.
Israel was apparently surprised by the revelations. Today, however, senior officials in Jerusalem know of secret negotiations taking place between the sides for several months. The contacts, the sources say, were initiated by Jarrett and she serves as the head of the negotiations. Jarrett served, according to them, as the direct and personal envoy of the president to the secret meeting with the Iranians which apparently were held in one of the Persian Gulf emirates, most likely in Bahrain.
At the Iranians request, the talks will open – if they open – after the US elections and only if Obama is reelected.
According to the estimates done in the US State Department, the economic pressure on Iran will reach a climax at the beginning of next year – in February and March, immediately after the presidential inauguration. The direct contacts with Iran on a nuclear understanding are therefore expected to take place precisely in the same time frame that Iran will find itself under particularly heavy pressure. This confluence is likely to bring about positive results in the secret direct talks and in the P5+1 talks.

Washington (CNN) — 20 year old Marine Lance Corporal Aaron Leeks from Frederick, Maryland has asked First Lady Michelle Obama to accompany him to the Marine Corps Ball next November. “With your husband’s permission of course,” said Leeks.
The first lady responded, “I’d love to” and brought an aide over to get his information. The first lady met Leeks at a Toys-for-Tots event at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling located in southeast Washington, DC.
Leeks leaves for Afghanistan next month where he will prepare the bodies of slain troops for return to Dover Air Force Base.
When asked by the media if the President was aware of the invitation, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said, “If the President is watching, this it might be the first he has heard of it. . . I don’t know, but I think the First Lady’s commitment to military families is very strong indeed so I am sure she was flattered by the invitation.”

Michelle Obama denies supporting gay marriage

The response comes after former New Jersey Gov. Jim McGreevey, a Democrat, suggested Monday night on CNN that Barack and Michelle Obama may not have the same opinion about gay marriage. McGreevey said of the president: “If he could only listen to Michelle more often” when it comes to his stance on same-sex marriage.

McGreevey, who is now openly gay, gave up the governorship in 2004 after revealing that he’d had an affair with a man.

Michelle Obama should practice what she preaches. Behavioral eating modification will be on course when she arrives back in the US after her recent trip overseas.  French fries and fat cakes were consumed  at a local restaurant in Botswana, the First lady’s last day of travel in Africa.
Michelle Obama confessed to  a young group at the University of Capetown,”if I picked one favorite, favorite food, its French fries.”

Vetkoek means ‘fat cake, which refers to the method of frying, not baking the bread. It is a classic South African bread, served with savory or sweet fillings.

• 1 kg (2 1/4 pounds) white bread flour
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 packet instant yeast
• 1 litre lukewarm water (1 quart)
• Vegetable oil for deep frying
  

METHOD
In a large dish mix flour, sugar, salt and yeast together.
Slowly add lukewarm water and stir. Combine until dough pulls away from sides of bowl.
Cover with greased kitchen paper, put in warm draft-free place, and allow to double in size.
Heat enough vegetable oil for deep frying.
Fill another dish with cold water and place next to your vetkoek dough.
Wet your hands in cold water before breaking off a piece of dough, rolling it into the shape and size of a tennis ball and carefully lowering it into hot oil. You can easily do five or six vetkoek at a time.
Allow to turn golden brown on all sides by frequently turning. Remove from oil and drain on kitchen paper.
Whilst still hot, slit open and fill with a slice of baloney or, if preferred, a good quality jam or preserve. There is no need to butter these light nibbles.
This South African bread is a perfect lunchtime snack for the kids after school on a cold, winter’s day, thanks to Tannie Babs in Babanango, Kwazulu Natal, South Africa.

Touchy Touchy Michele Obama Bolts From Poland; leaves without Husband

Why did FLOTUS ignore Poland on this European Trip? Michele Obama traveled back to the US on Friday and did not accompany her husband to Poland as expected Saturday..  Is it because of the goofed pun that Polish President Komorowski said, that was translated poorly? It was in reference to the fidelity of  marriage and a Country in a previous visit to the US.  While the “official” story is that Michelle Obama returned early from the European swing to be with her daughters, suspects there’s another factor at work: She hates President Bronislaw Komorowski. The original story from a conservative Polish newspaper is that President Komorowski made a joke about the First Lady's "fidelity" during his Washington visit

Remember the love fest between presidential candidate Obama and the talk show queen Oprah, well it isn’t going to happen in the 2012 climate. Ms. O isn’t going to support Bam Bam like she did in the election of 2008. Her reported change of status symbol now Ms. Winfrey? Why not endorse the worst President Hussein Obama once again for re-election? No more extreme rallies? Did your ratings plummet after your limitless amount of affection for the mulatto?...Is it because you have launched your OWN cable network? It is a rough world out there in the cable land, all those channels. How is your ratings these days? Why are you besieged or worried on locating your new audience Oprah?

I assume if she recants her efforts,  her support will be more secretive. Too good to check: Oprah not supporting Obama publicly in 2012? 

If sources are to believed, then TV mogul Oprah Winfrey will not publicly endorse Barack Obama during his 2012 re-election campaign. The decision comes after the influential talk show host feared that the step might alienate viewers from tuning into her recently-launched Oprah Winfrey Network. "Unlike in 2008, when a drop in ratings didn't matter as much for the queen of TV, Oprah is now fighting every day to get people to tune into OWN," the New York Daily News quoted a source as telling PopEater. The source said that although Winfrey is a big fan of the US. President, she won't make it public in his second run for the Oval Office. "Helping a friend keep the most important job in the world is great, but making sure her OWN network thrives is now her priority." "Oprah's support of President Obama has been and remains unwavering since she initially endorsed his candidacy in 2007. Any reports that suggest otherwise are untrue," the source added.

The First Lady says you can have your cake and eat it, too.
The fabulous and fit Michelle Obama loves eating pie and deep-dish pizza, but makes up for it by exercising plenty and eating a vegetable-rich diet, she told Ladies’ Home Journal in an exclusive interview.
“One of the reasons I talk about pie and burgers is because if you tell people they can never have the stuff they love, they'll shut down,” she told the outlet. “What is life without the things you love to eat? For me it's pie.”
But to get that famously toned physique, Obama exercises daily with her husband, waking up at the crack of dawn.
While early morning fitness may seem excruciating to some, Mrs. O has advice.
“Don't think about how you're feeling during the workout. Think about an hour and a half from now, how good you're gonna feel the rest of the day," she said.
Although she sometimes cheats the routine, she makes up for it with an extra-hard workout.
“So, yeah, there are absolutely times when you just don't feel like [exercising]. That's why the times that I do feel like it, I push myself,” she told LHJ.

Yeah, she's pushing it alright. To the tune of a couple hundred thousand dollars for a trip to Spain.
