And let's not forget that many of us are old enough to remember that not too long ago (in climate terms) scientists were assuring us that a new ice age was on the way.
No amount of legislation is going to make the green technologies Friedman touts economically viable in the near term, no matter how much Friedman claims that it will. The failure of the Chicago Carbon Exchange - as unmentioned by Friedman as Pickens' wind farm retreat - demonstrates the (current) lack of viability of green technologies.
It's also interesting that he accuses "climate deniers" of mounting an effective disinformation campaign. Really? It was the "climate hysteriers" who hid the decline and, in general, behaved badly.
