That doesn't sound forgiving at all. Asking people to follow a faith or be unforgiven? It's one thing if we are talking about a faith that is hurting people with violence, but I haven't seen any sign of that in Buddhism. I'm not a Buddhist myself. I have my reasons and it goes beyond asking why we must suffer, but I don't see any sign of the religion being unforgiving. If anything the religion seems to disinterested in really making judgments in the first place... and that is a huge problem for me. From my perspective is that a dose of guilt might be just what the doctor. ordered. Escaping the wrong isn't enough.
