Catfighting Abortion

A Brooklyn woman has been busted in a twisted plot to kill the love child of her husband’s mistress — by duping her into taking medicine to induce an abortion, police said.

Kisha Jones, 31, allegedly became enraged when she found out her unemployed hubby was cheating and had sired a baby with his lover, Monique Hutner, 25, of Flatbush, sources said.

So in late October, Jones allegedly launched a scheme in which she obtained a doctor’s prescription pad and tricked the then-seven-months-pregnant Hunter into taking a drug used to cause abortions.

Cops said Jones called Hunter with a device that concealed her phone number and pretended to be an assistant of the pregnant woman’s doctor.

Jones told Hunter that her baby had Downs Syndrome and that she needed to quickly take a certain medicine. Jones said a prescription for the drug had been left at a nearby pharmacy.

Hunter was a little suspicious, cops said. But she eventually picked up the prescription, which Jones had submitted to the pharmacy in Hunter’s name a short time earlier.

The pregnant woman took the drug, called Cytotec, on Oct. 27 — and she immediately went into labor, cops said. She was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where the baby was delivered and put into Neonatal Intensive Care.

Jones’ plot didn’t end there, however. She allegedly continued to target the innocent infant.

On Nov. 3, she allegedly called the hospital posing as Hunter and told hospital staff that she had pumped breast milk at home and wanted it given to the baby in the NIC unit.

Later that day, a man showed up with two, 20-ounce Poland Spring water bottles allegedly containing the milk. Hospital staff immediately became suspicious because the liquid did not have the consistency of breast milk and called cops.

Police initially thought that Hunter was targeting her own baby. But after investigating the case, cops found out that the person who dropped off the prescription for the dangerous drug matched that of Jones.

Jones was arrested yesterday in Brooklyn. Charges against her are still pending, cops said.

Police said Jones’ husband had no role in the plot, though they are looking for the man who delivered the milk. Police are still awaiting test results to see if the milk was poisoned.

The child is expected to recover.
