ADL ticks off the Left - Updated

Labels: » » »
The Left is very displeased with the Anti-Defamation League these days. On Thursday, the ADL called on 'moderate' 'Palestinian' President Mahmoud Abbas Abu Mazen to stop making excuses and sit down and negotiate.
the ADL also signaled that a Mosque at the WTC would hurt people's feelings? frankly this platform is dishonest. Islam is Islam. it's funding is Islamic. It's motivation is Islam and the occupation of every land. They will not stop till the infidels is subdued and paying a tax.

Time Magazine tried to frame the issue wrongly.  Joe Klein tried to say the ADL has my opinions of Islam.  I don't think my opinion of Islam is incorrect, but it is wrong of Time Magazine to create a StawMan Argument.  The ADL has cooperated with CAIR and other Islamic groups.
Klein is free to disagree with the ADL's stance, but he's distorting the group's reasons for opposing the mosque. As Associated Press religion writer Rachel Zoll noted (emphasis mine):
The Anti-Defamation League said it rejects any opposition to the center based on bigotry and acknowledged that the group behind the plan, the Cordoba Initiative, has the legal right to build at the site. But the ADL said "some legitimate questions have been raised" about funding and possible ties with "groups whose ideologies stand in contradiction to our shared values."
"Ultimately this is not a question of rights, but a question of what is right," the ADL said in a statement. "In our judgment, building an Islamic center in the shadow of the World Trade Center will cause some victims more pain - unnecessarily - and that is not right."

Klein should address the ADL's concerns and argue why he believes they're a thin cover for so called bigotry if he believs that the ADL is guilty of this, but the Juden Hass don't want this story... so Time Magazine and it's parent company at Time Warner and it's news CNN push a completely dishonest editorial.  I actually agree that the ADL is using feelings as a cover for a fear of a Mosque on Conquered land, but we should expect Time Magazine to address the facts of the story.  Certainly the ADL is full of it, but if there is a indeed a smokescreen then that element of the argument should be addressed.
